City of Foster City PLUS

Call came in to report that street lights on the 1200 block of Beach Park Blvd between Halibut and Starfish have been not working for the past 3 nights.

Traffic light defaults green to the side street not to foster city blvd. Leads to back up of cars waiting on foster city blvd for several minutes at a time. Sensors aren’t working, please fix.

on the corner where carls jr and starbird is, there is only 1 street sign and it's covered by the bushes next to Starbird. it's confusing for directions and people who don't live here, often get lost. can we please get some street signs put up?

No walk light

The left turn signal from Foster City Blvd to Polynesia is really bad. There is a very low delay even when there is no traffic on Foster City Blvd. Please make the left turn onto Polynesia flashing yellow. This traffic light is really a major test of patience.

Do you not have traffic sensors at the intersection of Foster City Blvd, Chess Drive, & Vintage Park Drive? They are poorly timed and there is no one coming out of either Chess Drive or Vintage Park Drive and drivers on Foster City Blvd. have to wait a good 5 mins for the traffic lights to cycle through. Surely you need to fix the timing and sensors for these traffic lights. If there are not any cars or pedestrians at this intersection, the traffic should be allowed to continue without the traffic light going red.

On Chess Drive, the left turn signal (to turn left onto Foster City Blvd) does not work. It stays on red and never turns green, despite cars waiting in the left lane to turn.

The traffic signal gives way too much time for cars coming out of Chess or VP drives With no cars coming, it still gives each direction over 30 seconds, having the cars on FC Blvd waiting well over a minute even with no cars in opposite direction (or anyone crossing the street) It does this at all times of day even on weekends

Fix these traffic lights as they take way too long and don't change based on cars at the signal, time of day or week. These lights should not be tailored to the convenience local companies but to the residents of Foster City. Also, there have mean multiple issues with the light on this street and on 3rd ave not adjusting to the traffic conditions over the years. Please find a new contractor or traffic engineer as clearly they don't go onsite to verify that the traffic signals are working to best fit the flow of traffic and the local residents

Left turn signal head at 3rd and Mariners Island, for traffic exiting the golf course is swinging a bit with low wind.

Stoplight going southbound on Foster City Blvd isn't timed correctly. This light stays red for a long time. It keeps detecting a car turning left from Foster City Blvd Northbound direction, keeping the NB light green despite all cars clearing from the left turn lane, or even when there are no cars even turning left.

The light always gives priority to cars turning left going northbound Foster City Blvd, despite all cars clearing or no cars are even in that lane.
