Street LightsمفتوحJohnson Rd & Winter St Town of Saugus, MA, 01906, USA - SaugusOn the corner of Johnson Rd and Winter Street (at the old MBTA bus stop pickup) there was a street lamp that was knocked down a couple years ago in a wind storm. I am writing today to request the lamp finally be put back up. That area is way too dark, and Winter Street is way too dangerous to have no-light areas. On top of that, just last night, there was some vandalism at the house across from where the light was, but being pitch black, it was hard to see the details of the vandal. This is a safety hazard to allow a "dead zone" on a street where speeding is frequent, and vandalism is rising.

As a matter of safety, It is a very dark area and there is a fire hydrant next to it. (which you would want to be able to locate quickly in an emergency) -

It is now December 4, still no repair to this light right in the heart of the square where crosswalk is located. This is unacceptable for the town to be so cavalier about public safety issues such as these. Please have this street light repaired before someone gets run over there. -
