Sarasota County Services PLUS

I wrote on 8/2/21 and it was logged as SR526953 and again on 8/30/21 and it was logged as SR528437 re: same issue. It has been 2 months since the first SR. The pond on the south side of Oakview in Tamaron across from the large pond is now beyond any homeowners ability to resolve. Large tree growth is overtaking the end closest to Oakview, growing over the large drain pipes, and grass islands are growing together.
This is a county pond and you can just say you are not taking care of it anymore. How does that work? People pay taxes and I would think there is enough money to allocate toward maintenance of this pond. The monies going into all these other projects like roundabouts, diverging diamonds, Legacy Trail, etc. is no problem, but getting a county pond under control is not possible. I reported this quite awhile ago before it became out of control and now it involves a lot of work. Please take a look at this. Thank you, Ellen

This hole is in the yard and was run over by the neighbors when they moved. Called a few times, but this is a danger to others being open like it is.

This light has been on for 3 nights now. It is against the county ordinance. We are entering turtle season and it needs to be turned off.

There is garbage and yard waste all over this lot. The lot seems to belong to 639 Turner St, but it runs to Church Street. It is adjacent to 647 Church St. It makes the neighborhood look run down. Please get the owners to clean up this mess.

on the edge of the two lots there is a flat area (instead of having a grading/incline towards the street), all the water will stand there for ever, I have mud all over, algae, mosquitos, etc. The soil at the edge of my house wall is 100% wet, it is going to damage the foundation of the house. I have escalated this situation with the builder (new home) and they say it is according to Sarasota County specs. Well the reality says something different.

I always leave my name Phone number and address when I complain. I have made what, 20 complaints that no-one has taken care of since Feb 2021. How many years does it take to move one "vehicle used for commercial activities" I can start my truck and move it in a couple of min! Why can't your employees read the law and do the job we (Americans) pay you for. My church is looking into the elected officials in Sarasota and we will be using the "if you are in, you are out" because of the deplorable condition Sarasota County is in because of the ignorance and unacceptable performance of your employees. (Judges, police and county workers in general)

I had to submit this in this form because your people are tired of me complaining about the terrible performance of the Sarasota County Codes Dept that they are banning me from commenting. This is the Sarasota Way! Don't fix anything, just block them out! Sarasota is a commercial parking lot, our neighborhood children deserve better that Sarasota Counties Provides! America will only continue to degrade if you let our neighborhoods continue to degrade!

This observer stand is constantly being misused and abused. The front cover is broken off and lying on the ground. People are now leaving their trash in it. The Observer people are not replacing or repairing it so why not just remove it and place a garbage can there?

The county is approving a permit for this property address that is not related to actual boundaries as found in the tax records of this property and is inadvertantly approving an encrochment neighbors. A temporary easment may be necessary so as to not create long term standing of this property encroaching on others.

They have roosters here, that are making a noise from around 5am, through 5pm, everyday.

There are 2 trees growing in the easement on the eastside of my yard that have damaged both my fence and my neighbors fence on the east side. I just bought the home and found out via survey that the trees are in the easement so no in either one of our yards. I am not sure what the rules are here but we need help. There are also some trees growing in the power lines in the back, south west side of my yard.
