My concerns is the bike lanes that was put on orchard and Edgewood it’s dangerous for commuters because of the parking in the middle of the street
  • Edgewood Ave & Platt St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Dwight
Just witnessed a car taking a left hand turn from Platt street onto Edgewood Avenue almost striking a bike.
because the dumb Idea of the city of New Haven to park cars in the middle of the street confuses people. So ridiculous.

Please add delineators to stop brueghgers bagels customers from double parking and especially parking in front of the fire hydrant. Breuggers is using the fire hydrant and crosswalk zones as their personal loading zone bringing out bagels to cars who illegally park there
  • 533 George St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Dwight
Is it possible to get some sort of protected bike lane and/or traffic calming on this section of George Street into Downtown. Something that would connect to the future phase 2 of the State Street bike lane project? People routinely speed down this road where there are a lot of pedestrians and cyclists. We need infrastructure to slow traffic and keep people safe.
  • 167-183 Chapel St New Haven, CT, 06513, USA - Fair Haven
Chapel street from Front street all the way to downtown would be an ideal bike lane way (protected) to go from Fair Haven Heights, Branford or Fair Haven to downtown to commute to work.

  • Rev Dr M L King Jr Blvd New Haven, Connecticut, 06510 - Town_Green
Gravel sprayed all over bike lanes
  • 1296-1398 Townsend Ave New Haven, CT, 06513, USA - Annex
would it be possible to get a bike lane for townsend ave. With warmer weather coming townsend and Woodward aves will be major routes to parks and the beach. There is no good bike infrastructure over in east shore.
  • Westville New Haven, Connecticut - Westville
I have 6 or 7 bike lane delineators in my yard which were taken out by snow plows this weekend. I am willing to sell them back to the City at a discounted price but please don't bother replacing them this week because I hear there are more storms coming.
  • 701-721 Edgewood Ave New Haven, Connecticut, 06515 - Westville
safety barrier for bike path broken
  • 278-298 George St New Haven, CT, 06510, USA - Town_Green
While the new bike lane delineator is helpful for most of the stretch of George street, there is a very dangerous intersection. At the intersection with College, due to parked vehicles all the way up to the intersection, cars turning right from George street to College street do not see the cyclists going straight and crossing that intersection. At least 2 parkings should be removed to give more visibility to cyclists and a yield sign to ensure drivers watch out for bikes. Someone could easily die here. I was involved in a near-miss accident myself just this week.
  • 154-200 Elm St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Town_Green
Someone is going to get killed if Elm street isn’t fixed. Cars are always blocking the dangerously slim bike lane. Too many car lanes, not enough room for bikes or dedicated space for buses. This would be a simple fix if anyone with power cared about people outside of cars.
