    For the past several weeks there has been a water leak on Riverside Road, about 100 yards West of the intersection with Northcliff Trace (entrance to Northcliff subdivision). And over the last 4-5 months the dirt around the pedestrian bridge, about ¼ mile from Northcliff, is eroding. NOTE: Fulton County has been contacted by City Staff regarding the potential water leak.

    Street drainage backs up into my yard as the leaves and pine straw do not flow through. Plus the back up where the culvert opens into my yard. Needs to be cleared for smooth drainage. Three spots. At the outlet, where the pine straw and leaves are piling into my neighbors yard adjacent to my yard and toward the back of the yard where it backs up significantly when it rains.     The storm water drain is inoperable during any amount of heavy rain when water control is actually needed. It was repaired a number of years ago to fix an internal collapse but the top is below grade of the ground around it and it’s only inlet is small holes that were made in a manhole lid. The drain lid is regularly cleared of any debris but rainwater flow quickly carries debris to clog it within the first 5 minutes any good downpour. This drain needs a lid that will not clog nor present a safety hazard for the young children that live in proximity. This drain failing to operate affects 3 properties with additional excessive water flow until the next functioning storm water drain is reached.

    This is the what happens when the drain between 300 Roswell Farms Rd and 310 Roswell Roswell Rd becomes clogged with debris... which happens about a dozen times or more a year. After the water crashes over the retaining wall, it creates a virtual river across my yard and then my neighbor at 280 Roswell Farms RD and then into a raised manhole cover between her yard and the neighbor next to her. That drain works. The golf ball size holes in the drain up stream DOESN'T work.

    Since storm drain at road was cleared a few months ago and water re-routed to move better off the street, the water pools and sits in our yard rather than drain down the creek. This picture doesn’t show the water because it hasn’t rained recently. Given the Covid-19 changes in our culture, this isn’t a priority but I wanted to get it on the city’s radar to look at down the road. Thank you!
