OtherПризнана1235 Ortiz St. Se Albuquerque, New Mexico - South San PedroLitter, weeds, trash, junk furniture (including mattresses), overgrown trees are on the empty lot just north of the Ortiz Townhome units - every day/nite homeless people who appear to be drunk hang out in this lot. We are the owners of the carwash directly behind the townhome units (Clean Cruisin Carwash- 1232 San Mateo SE) and this is affecting our business in negative ways. Can the city please clean this mess up so that these people will stop trying to make it their living space? If a picture of this mess would be helpful, please let me know and I can get one to you - - thanks very much for your reply back to me if possible - - we do not know who owns this piece of property so thought we would start first, in contacting the city. OtherПризнана6100 Pan American Fwy Ne Albuquerque, NM 87109, USA - Academy Acres NorthMy only 2 options for reporting wandering/homeless dogs are: "lost animal" and "aggressive dog." We need an option to report what appear to be animals without homes that are not aggressive. I often see skittish animals that avoid people but I report them to 311 because they obviously need help. Thank you!

Installing Traffic SignalsПризнанаMcmahon Boulevard Albuquerque, New Mexico - Skies WestHi:
When we first moved into the Saltillo Community, accessed via Maravillas Dr NW, we really had no problems with getting onto or off of McMahon from the Saltillo entrance. That was four years ago.
Since then, major street improvements have upgraded both Unser and Universe as well as Irving and the intersection with Unser and McMahon. As a result, there is more traffic moving through this area than had been there previously.
Making a left turn from Southbound Maravillas onto Eastbound McMahon has become much more difficult to do - some might consider it dangerous. Turning from Eastbound McMahon onto Northbound Maravillas has also become much more difficult to do. Sitting in the left turn lane, drivers turning onto Maravillas must wait for the traffic coming up the hill, Westbound on McMahon, to pass before making the turn. Of course, people coming out of Saltillo to Eastbound McMahon have to wait for the turners from the turning lane on McMahon before attempting to enter traffic on McMahon.
The sight lines are also difficult, and it is difficult for cars entering McMahon in either direction from Maravillas to see sufficiently to make a safe turn.
I am requesting that a traffic signal be installed at this intersection, and that right turn lanes be created from McMahon onto Maravillas. I believe the use of right hand turning lanes would speed up traffic by getting turning cars out of the way of the traffic flow for those who are continuing on McMahon. The signals themselves would be the best possible safety measure the city could take to reduce accidents at this intersection (though they are not currently all that common, I can see where continued growth would only increase the likelihood of it happening - I would rather not wait until such a time).
Lastly, it would be nice to have pedestrian crossings incorporated into the intersection. Many people will walk on both sides of McMahon with children and pets. This is the nice neighborhood feel my wife and I like about this area. However, pedestrian visibility is not good on McMahon. Drawing more attention to pedestrians and providing them with highly visible crossing spaces would be extremely beneficial to all involved.
Thank you very much for consideration of my concern.
Sincerely,
Brian
