Town of Swampscott PLUS

National grid replaced our gas main in the fall and then had whatever they dug up paved. However, it is terrible!The whole street line is sunken in and there are deep pot wholes the whole way down. I fell and nearly twisted my ankle last week stepping back into one hole by our garage..There are lots of kids who play on this street..I do not want it to be one of them who gets hurt next! Please please please have this fixed before something happens.

Street repairs were done a few weeks back. There is a very large sinkhole where some of this maintenance took place. It looks very dangerous.

Any luck getting Nantucket Ave on the schedule in the Spring?

The manhole in the beginning of Ryan Place near Essex Street is sinking in. It’s sinking into the ground deeper and deeper. Can someone please take a look/fix before it gets worse.

Our road needs replacing after National grid did repairs last summer. It’s a mess and dangerous for walking given there is no sidewalk.

This is not a pothole, but rather damage to the road caused by the large heavy equipment that was used to demolish a house at the end of Nichols Street. There are three large gouges to the road, which was previously in pristine condition as the road had been fully repaved within the last 12 months. In my opinion, the contractor (or the Quarry owners) should repair the road as they directly caused the damage.

Dangerous pothole in the middle of the intersection has been there for a week

This has been there since the end of winter. Previous repairs to the street were done during the spring. Not sure why this was not taken care of.

the street is in rough shape. it gets worse every year.......

I have lived across from Currier Court for about 15 Years. It has to be one of the most neglected streets in town. I have very kind neighbors who live there and they deserve better. It’s not a big street at all and it really needs attention. Please come take a good look.
