Town of Swampscott PLUS

Hi, We have called many times regarding a problem with our sump pump. We had someone come out in early December who said he was going to look at our house plans for water and sewer and get back to us. We have not heard back. Since work on our street that began sometime in October our pump goes on for weeks at a time with no rain. We have never had this problem before. And have had lived here for over 30 years. Could someone please look into this? We feel terrible putting the hose out to the street because of icing so we are just having it drain into our yard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The two storm drains on Blaney circle are full of leaves, etc. They are causing more water to pool up around it when it rains.

The storm drain is clogged and not draining at the end of Ocean Ave. near Beach Club parking lot.

Humphrey St at PHilips park and the little league field has golf ball sized rocks washed down from Pleasant St. Pleasant St to about half way up the hill is in the same state. Please send the sweeping crew.

Our sewer line backed up 2 weeks ago. Company came out with cameras and said Problem is pipe in the street. Left a voicemail about this at dpw as well. Sewer line back up again today. Drain company back out.

Dirt and gravel washed down Oak Rd and into two catch drains on Bay View causing street flooding. Unless cleaned up before more rain will make conditions worse

There is a storm drain that runs through my backyard When it rains water leaks out of the manhole cover that is in my backyard and floods the backyard (and my neighbor's yard) This is not only a physical property risk but also a public health issue with bacteria and chemicals leaking into my yard where my 2 young children and dog play Can the drain please be cleaned to prevent this?

The flooding on Stetson during Friday evening’s storm ran off lots of debris from other streets as well as debris that overflowed from the manholes into the street. Can you please run a sweeper in the Stetson flood area to prevent the catch basins from getting blocked up again. Thanks.

Someone cleared out the grating of this storm drain in front of 30 Franklin and threw the debris, including paper and garbage, onto the sidewalk. Can this please be picked up?

The flooding on Stetson during Saturday evening’s once again ran off lots of debris from up the street as well as debris that overflowed from the manholes into the street and sidewalk. Can you please run a sweeper in the Stetson flood area to clean up the blocked catch basins? Also, there are lots of cones still here on both sides of the street that can be retrieved. The storm drain in front of our house at 46 King St often gets backed up and the street floods this area when it rains. It also smells terrible. It needs a good clean out please!
