Town of Swampscott PLUS

Can the town remove the snow around the bus stops and the adjacent sidewalk areas on Humphrey Street where the property borders are tall retaining walls and rocks? There is five feet of compacted snow on the sidewalk and nowhere for it to even be placed by homeowners. Does the town currently have at least one sidewalk plow?

Eastman Ave and Fairview Ave have NOT been salted in days. It’s slick and messy on the corner of Eastman and Essex, Eastman and Minerva and then the remainder of the street is coated all throughout the neighborhood. This is dangerous and we have a school bust stop on our street, no sidewalks and people that for some reason park on the “sidewalk” and not the street resulting in kids and adults alike walking in the street.

Side walk is never cleared of snow and it forces people to walk in road way on Paradise Rd Property is owned by an LLC Raj & Rachna according to accessor records on line Town should either enforce the snow removal law or repeal it this is a joke. The LLC is located in Brookline. It has not been cleared for the past two storms and probably wont be cleared again.

Crosswalks along paradise have not been shoveled making it even more dangerous than usual to cross paradise and get to the train. Please clear the crosswalks

The sidewalk strip from the Stetson Ave and Essex St split to the overpass hasn't been shoveled since the storm. Kids are currently having to walk in the street when walking to school.

The sidewalk area where the bus stop is located hasn't been shoveled since the last snow storm. People have to stand in the street to wait for the bus.

Please clear sidewalk

There’s a stretch of Sargent rd coming up from Forest that is completely buried in snow and this is a common walkway for kids to get to both SMS and SES. It’s hard to tell who would be responsible for this stretch as it is not directly in front of anyone’s property. It is forcing kids to either walk through waist high snow, or onto the street. Any help with snow removal from Sargent to Forest would be most appreciated!

I am an essential worker. The sidewalks surrounding the train station are not shoveled. The sidewalk next to the inbound parking lot has not been touched since the start of the storm. I had to walk on Burrill street to get to the train. This has been a consistent problem in the 12 years I have lived in this town. What will change this practice? A hip fracture and lawsuit?
