421 Essex Street Swampscott, Massachusetts, 01907 - Swampscott
Side walk from 421 Essex street (inclusive of this house and until Shell gas station (399 Essex street) in front of some houses on this stretch still has snow and ice - a week after snow storm. Is there any enforcement on the home owners or oversight from the town to ensure these are cleared up? Kids / adults / strollers etc. use this side walk. Its a safety issue.

Not sure who to talk to. There used to be a crosswalk in front of the old police station, but it hasn't been repainted. Crossing Burrill Street can be very difficult. As a handicap resident i like to walk to the Post Office, but without the crosswalk I do not feel comfortable crossing the street. Is the crosswalk going to be repainted? Also who do I talk to about posting the speed limit, on that section of Burrill Street?

Hello! The roots of the tree on the corner of Forest and Lexington are starting to push the rocks in our wall apart. I’ve seen you working on other trees in the neighborhood so I was hoping someone could take a look.

    Thank you!

The area where the skirt of our driveway meets the road has holes and the curbing further along is broken. Can the skirt and the curb get repaired before the next plowing season? Thanks for all the work you do in Swampscott. Marianne McDermott

25 Young Avenue Swampscott, Massachusetts, 01907 - Swampscott
The roots to a tree have caused the sidewalk to expand making it impassable and dangerous for children in the neighborhood who ride their bikes, scooters etc. One kid recently wiped out. Additional concern are the tree roots running under my lawn and possibly entwining themselves or damaging the sewer pipes leading from the street to my home. Three issues. Physical danger to people tripping, kids riding their bikes etc over this, sidewalk damage and potential home damage due to tree roots. Thanks for addressing. V. Trask 25 Young Avenue

Something is wrong here. Is this a larger sinkhole? I'm concerned it was repaired and it happened again.

Odd numbered side of street sidewalk is raised by tree roots in many aces making it difficult to walk for residents, school children and teachers. There are 2 schools within 400 feet.
