Pine St. is experiencing a rodent problem. The rodents feed/thrive on poor trash management. Rodents are in and out of the trash at 77 Pine St all the time. This pic was taken on Thursday, by Monday (trash day), the trash bags will be all over the ground. The landlord of these units is not supplying his tenants with overflow bags, or the tenants are not purchasing them themselves. The overflow bags could be placed in the 'old' barrels (seen on the left of the pic), thus keeping all trash bags in barrels with lids and out of reach of the rodents. Something needs to be done about this, or we'll never reduce the rodent/disease threat on this street filled with children.

  • 77 Pine Street Swampscott, Massachusetts, 01907 - Swampscott

77 Pine St continues to contribute to the serious rodent infestation on Pine St. This pic was taken on Thursday (4 full days before garbage pick-up). Notice the rodents have already got into the black bag on the ground.

Either the Swampscott's Health Department is unwilling or unable to get this residence to comply with the town's trash regulations, or the out-of-state owner and the two floors of tenants have told the town to go pound sand.

Either way it's tax paying residents that suffer.

  • 878-942 Humphrey St Town of Swampscott, MA, 01907, USA - Swampscott
There is illegally dumped trash at entrance to rail trail on Humphrey Street across from Phillips Avenue. Trash included these items asking with a lot of general litter: large, old television, oversized bean bag chair, and office desk. Can this trash be removed by the Town, please?

  • Monument Ave Town of Swampscott, MA, 01907, USA - Swampscott
Looks like a rat hole underneath the dog waster disposal bin. Saw it the other day and did see the shredded bags. Today shredded bags which makes me think the rats are dragging the bag poop
    Into hole to eat.

There are numerous rusty metal pipes at eismens beach that have been there for quite some time. They are a hazard to beachgoers especially children who like to play on the rocks where the metal pipes are. There are more pipes than the one pictured that are sticking out if the sand. I think they should be removed or at least cut as low as possible so that even when the sand and rocks are at their lowest they do not surface. Thank you.
