Town of Swampscott PLUS

I had submitted this request in April about paving Fuller Ave and ensuring it doesn’t reverse the work DPW did to fix the drainage issue in front of my house. It looks like they are getting ready to pave the street now. Is the contractor aware of this and is there a plan to fix the issue permanently?

Hi - We're at 163 Beach Bluff Ave. We moved in about a year ago and we've routinely been having sewage backups in our basement drain. We hired a plumber who re-lined the sewage line from the walls-in with a resin, however this continues to happen. I opened the access trap outside of our home - a few feet past the exterior wall - and it's all standing water at the bottom. Is there a known/existing issue in the neighborhood that could be causing this to happen so frequently (3-4 times/year)

Storm drain and manhole next to it are sinking into the street creating a driving hazard. Storm drain is noticeably sinking over the last few months.

There is a water leak near or under the stairs on the left going down to the beach.

In the 10 years I’ve lived in Swampscott I've never seen Foster Pond water levels so high. I heard from someone on the ERAC that the quarry are responsible for clearing the drain but I'm assuming it is blocked. Thank you for your attention to this matter. ,

Water pressure is extremely low in multiple homes on the street.

the main sewer/storm drine is backed up everything was fine til the mwa was on Pine street yesterday now the sewer don't drine

Water has been coming up from road for several days and flowing downhill (banks rd across walker)

Lots of leaves built up under the old railroad bridge on Stetson Ave With rain coming Thursday the leaves should be cleared from the gutter to avoid street flooding
