Dear Town Hall,

For several years now, the golfers at Tedesco have been driving on the sidewalks and not yielding the right of way to pedestrians on the street. I have noticed it has been particularly bad of late, and my 82 year old father has almost been hit a few times and been rudely treated by the golfers. It appears that no one knows the laws of a sidewalk. I cannot imagine that motor vehicles are allowed to drive on sidewalks or have the right of way over pedestrians. Can you please look into this matter in regards to the town laws, as well as if there is a public easement for the paths on the course?

Can somebody please provide an update on the status of repaving Jessie St and repairing the sidewalks?

When I reached out over a year ago, I was told Jessie Street was scheduled to be paved in the spring of 2023. However, National Grid informed DPW that the gas main needed to be replaced. The gas main was scheduled to be replaced in fall 2023 and they said the road will be paved the following spring/summer 2024.

However the gas main was not replaced last fall and the street is in horrible shape. It is a hazard for all who walk here, but especially an elderly man in the neighborhood with limited mobility and vision.

We would love an update on when we could expect some improvements.

Plow hit curb causing curb to break up

Has been over 24 hours since snow and the sidewalks on Elmwood are not properly shoveled and salted. Dangerous and unfair to strollers/disabled users. More enforcement needed please!

This is not really a sidewalk issue but an eyesore issue. Owner has removed retaining wall along street and has dug into the hill creating piles of dirt, tree stumps, rocks, broken concrete along with misc. junk. The retainer wall with next property has been damaged and the wall itself is leaning due to additional stress placed with all of the weight. It looks horrible. If we get a good rainfall it will create a mess in the street. Something needs to be done to stop the person responsible.

The hot top patch that was done previously is now sinking, creating a dangerous situation for all residents, but for Ms. ROSENDAHL who is 81 years old legally blind it is especially dangerous
Please repair it as soon as possible ..
