    Since they have resumed after winter's hiatus, the blasts have been more powerful and appear to have a rolling effect. They are louder and stronger.

    Hello, Aggregate Facilities changed grinding procedures recently. As of this year they added a loud siren at the time when they grind and load rocks. They start as early as 7 am and on some days till 8 pm. It happens on random days and times. The noise travels far and echoes on many streets especially the ones that are elevated. This is very disturbing to the area. Can someone work with them and see if they can either change the hours or install noise barriers around these facilities? Thanks

    Aggregate is using sirens every day including Saturdays from 7 am till 6 pm - sounds like long car horns. All residential neighborhoods in Salem and Swampscott are struggling and getting headaches from this everyday sound. It's unacceptable - they have to install sound barriers. They also use Jake breaks all the time which are illegal. -
