  • 35 Burpee Rd Swampscott MA 01907, United States - Swampscott
This isn't quite a town trash/recycling issue but there is a tremendous amount of lunch trash from high school students at Jackson park.
  • 77 Pine Street Swampscott, Massachusetts, 01907 - Swampscott

77 Pine St continues to contribute to the serious rodent infestation on Pine St. This pic was taken on Thursday (4 full days before garbage pick-up). Notice the rodents have already got into the black bag on the ground.

Either the Swampscott's Health Department is unwilling or unable to get this residence to comply with the town's trash regulations, or the out-of-state owner and the two floors of tenants have told the town to go pound sand.

Either way it's tax paying residents that suffer.

  • Humphrey Street Swampscott, Massachusetts - Swampscott
The trash cans at Linscott Park and on Humphrey St across from Hawthorne by the Sea were overflowing with trash this morning at 10:00am. Makes a very poor impression of the town and attracts rats.
  • 95 Atlantic Avenue Swampscott, Massachusetts - Swampscott
Trash cans at the entrance to Phillips Beach are overflowing on the weekends. Trash piles up on the ground near the trash cans and blows around. Please put out more trash cans and more recycling bins since much of the trash is recyclable beverage containers.
  • 3 Mudge St Swampscott, MA, 01907, USA - Swampscott
This property is semi vacant. Weeds are growing inside and outside the backyard covering the sidewalk, also back yard waste is abandoned inside and outside the property, I have seen rats running in and out. Do we have a right to expect that this neighbor keeps his property reasonably clean? Is there an ordinance in Swampscott
that enforces laws about blighted properties that cause general deterioration and instability and substantially endanger the health and safety of residents? This is also a fire hazard.
  • 345-351 Essex St Town of Swampscott, MA, 01907, USA - Swampscott
Someone dumped a large bag of trash on the sidewalk at the corner of Essex St and Hanley St.
  • 54-108 Eastman Ave Town of Swampscott, MA, 01907, USA - Swampscott
There are rats running up and down Eastman Ave. between the are of 75-90 ish
  • 223 Puritan Road Swampscott, MA, 01907, USA - Swampscott
There are numerous rusty metal pipes at eismens beach that have been there for quite some time. They are a hazard to beachgoers especially children who like to play on the rocks where the metal pipes are. There are more pipes than the one pictured that are sticking out if the sand. I think they should be removed or at least cut as low as possible so that even when the sand and rocks are at their lowest they do not surface. Thank you.
  • 717-729 Humphrey St Town of Swampscott, MA, 01907, USA - Swampscott
Dead animal in street. Could be a cat.
  • 5 Fuller Terrace Swampscott, MA, 01907, USA - Swampscott
There is a house at 5 Fuller Terrace that is a hazard. It's abandoned, in disrepair and full of trash. Rodents can be seen running in and out and it must be a fire hazard. A coyote was seen going inside as well.
  • 7 Hillside Avenue Swampscott, MA, 01907, USA - Swampscott
    Mattress dumped in empty lot
  • 91 Pine St Swampscott, Massachusetts, 01907 - Swampscott
Yesterday I watched someone pull up get out their light blue Bronco and pull out 4 over flow bags and dump them onto our neighbors trash that was awaiting pick up and pull off. This older male has done this several times over the past few weeks. I’m not sure how this is ok, and I’m sure nothing will be done. But isn’t this not ok to be dumping your trash with others on a completely different street ?! Not to mention the amount of over flow bags he tossed and added to our neighbors trash! 4 giant bags of over flow and some other trash items he placed on the ground that the trash didn’t take!
