Two depressions have formed. Not related to any yard work.
  • Sw 91st St Gainesville, FL, 32608, USA - Alachua County
Two sinkholes located in a common/retention area bordered by SW 91st Street to the west and the Grove subdivision in Haile Plantation (to the north). One is larger than the other, and the smaller one (photo is included) has been growing in diameter over the past several weeks. Both are at least 20 feet deep. In the past decade, on multiple occasions PUBLIC WORKS has filled sinkholes in this common area, which pose a peril to people and pets who use the common area. Your assistance in addressing this hazard and continued support in maintaining this common area would be greatly appreciated.

POTHOLES, potholes, potholes. Beginning at Waldo Rd entrance onto NE 69th Ave and for a distance of 3/10th of one mile (1200 to 1500 ft inward starting at the corner Waldo Rd&NE69th Ave), located on both sides (and some in mid area) of the roadway, there are multiple potholes that grow bigger with each rain storm. Along with the regular potholes there are areas of the shoulders (shoulders that had been paved in order to accommodate the daily travel of huge dump trucks to & from the dumping/sand pit that operates about 2 miles down the road) these shoulders are used by automobile drivers & the trucks to move over when faced with an oncoming dump truck. A few shoulders are broken and need asphalt filling repair, also. The last time they were filled it appears there was not enough asphalt used, so the repairs were not long lasting. Hopefully, this time there will be an appropriate amount of asphalt available to make the repair last longer. Thank you.

Needs to be repaved. There are many depressions and humps in the road that cause damage to vehicles and are unsafe for pulling trailers with animals. The roadway is not wide enough for two vehicles with trailers to safely pass each other on opposite sides of the road.

Please add school zone, street light, and turning lane into Jordan Glen school. Another bad accident occurred this morning. Driver did not see a car was stopped waiting to turn left. The car (with child on way to school) was hit from behind at 60mph into oncoming traffic. This is a very dangerous stretch of road with cars speeding.
