We recently had out side walk repaired ( on Baker Street) and while the side walks were getting repaired the folks damaged our side of the property on Baker Street (stone wall) and at the time we were told that they will just put it back without cementing it and after the side walk work is complete, they will cement it and put it back properly. It looks like they never cemented it back and this week it all came down again. I would appreciate if you would send someone to fix this. Please let me know if you need any further information.

A couple of weeks back they replaced water pipes on the street to sidewalk. When laying the cement they left a huge gap between the driveway and the sidewalk and the front of the flower bed. It’s a hazard. When winter comes it’s going to be a issue for myself getting in my drive way. This is the second complaint I’ve made about this issue and nothing has been done.

Before the repaving of Eastern Avenue, there was a crosswalk . The crosswalk has not been repainted, but the sidewalk ramp remains. I presume this was missed rather than abandoned.

Please explain the newly painted lines in every direction. With the solid lines, drivers cannot even pull over for emergency vehicles. Friends and family from outside Malden are asking what in the world do these lines mean? Please explain
  • Blomerth St & Lilly St Malden, Massachusetts, 02148 - Malden Ward 3

Several houses lost water overnight because the temp water lines froze. We are concerned about our pipes bursting the next time that overnight temps drop below freezing (Friday night, according to current forecast). We would normally have the lines to our outdoor spigot turned off by now, but that is not possible because it is our current water source.

Some of our neighbors are already on the new water line, but many are still on the surface temporary line.

Can someone please update the residents on what is going on? It's getting too late in the season for the temp water lines.

Please! Add ramps to protect bikes from the sharp edges of the sidewalk to bike path! Bikes are being ruined because of careless construction

I am again curious why road work is being done in the Linden School area and as a home owner in that area I find this out due to a detour sign in front of my driveway? Could you please notify the neighborhood before having a major detour running through it all day?

I’m with Timothy! The only thing is …. THE PROBLEM ISN’T JUST AT THIS LOCATION! It is in several places across the city! I also ClickFixed recently about the Cross/Bryant St intersection/roadway and then noticed the exact same issue at Route 60 and Main Street! THIS IS JUST CRAZY! People don’t obey the lines and markings when they are painted! WITHOUT THEM THERE IS TOTAL CHAOS!

Hoping the line painting is happening city-wide sooner rather than later! Leaving the roads as/is is EXTREMELY UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS for both pedestrians AND motorists! The sooner the painting takes place the safer we ALL will be!

    Thanks.

The street crossing at the intersection of Jackson and Exchange has not been reconfigured to accommodate the handicapped. The recent work has not restored beveled sidewalk pathways for pedestrians crossing Exchange St. near the Jackson Street Garage.

The sidewalk was redone with concrete.
A tree hole was cut out.
Then months later the tree hole was filled with asphalt.
    1) Is this the final outcome part concrete and part asphalt? If so the town needs a better engineer.
    2) If the asphalt will be removed and a tree planted - when will this be done?
    3) If we had known the hole was to be filled with asphalt we would have planted flowers.
    4) This degrades the Town of Malden and looks like town officials have no clue as to what they are doing.
