daily a car parks on the sidewalk, tight against the store front windows. the police have told me the owner of the Bread Basket uses this as a loading zone and that it's OK. is this allowable?
  • 645 W Woods Rd Hamden, Connecticut, 06518 - Hamden
Comments on photo. Based on the sf ft and number of bedrooms, this is an over occupied “single” family residence. There are numerous different cars on the property throughout the day and night, and often up to two school buses parked on the property some days. Every listed occupant is over age 30. Something is “off,” but there is most likely a fire code violation if nothing else. Seems like a flop house and/or the occupants are running some sort of illicit business. 5 people, only 3 of whom are perhaps related…just “off.”
  • Gorham Ave Hamden, CT, 06514, USA - Hamden
Our next door neighbor on the corner of Langer & Gorham have added and attached to their house another entrance or storage area. They also dug up their yard maybe a foot or so to attempt to level the yard. They then created a large size volleyball area along with maybe 8-9’ tall posts along the property line and added a long black net that goes along the property line to around a part of the front property. It’s such an awful eye sore when I shouldn't have to see this in a residential area. They should be respectful of our property as they would want us to be. Then come Friday to Sunday group of 8 or more play volleyball. They used to have chickens/rooster.
  • 36 Plains Rd Hamden, CT, 06514, USA - Hamden
Unregistered vehicles parked all over the yard, Unpermitted addition in the backyard attached to the house on a concrete pad. Unpermitted repair shop in the residential neighborhood. Tow trucks coming and going all ours of the day
  • 43 Giles St Hamden, Connecticut, 06517 - Hamden
Residents have constructed a steep, makeshift driveway exiting onto Lamkin St for vehicles parked on resident's lawn instead of their driveway. In addition to being unsightly blight that is uncharacteristic for the neighborhood, it does not appear that a permit has been pulled.
  • 205 Stanley Rd Hamden CT 06514, United States - Hamden
Put up a tall fence to the street.
  • 1817 Dixwell Ave Hamden, Connecticut, 06514 - Hamden
The response from Home Depot is best characterized as token. There are years of neglect regarding the landscaping on the 175-foot streetscape. This issue remains open. Nearby on Dixwell Avenue is a new Starbucks. The excellent landscaping on this property not only showcases the establishment but also showcases Hamden. Home Depot can be given An award for Mediocrity in Landscape Appearance, Maintenance, and Litter. Garden of Eden, it's not. Great Looking Property, it's not. The Right Stuff - Acceptable Community Standards, it's not. The Wrong Stuff - needs a little TLC, it's not. It's just Hamden - not a community Home Depot cares about. In
the Home Depot corporation, store managers have very little discretion. The Hamden Home Depot store doesn't even post a sign with a photo of their store manager. But three or so levels up is this store manager's boss. She is the President of Home Depot's Northern Division and is responsible for the sales and operations of 795 stores in 24 Midwest and Northeastern states with a team of more than 110,000 associates. Fortune Magazine ranks her as one ot "Fortune's Most Powerful Women". There is no reason that she doesn't know about how the Hamden Home Depot is not a good corporate citizen.
  • 40 Farnsworth St Hamden, Connecticut, 06517 - Hamden
Looks like hoarding in backyard, reached out to Mandy management many times, Mandy management has put tarps and unpermitted fence in the front of property with many different structures attached. 2x4 with half inch nails sticking out how is this appropriate
  • 40 Farnsworth St Hamden, Connecticut, 06517 - Hamden

Fence is not placed on the nicer side facing neighbor, fence is greater than 4ft since there is a structure/black tarp attached to the fence causing it be greater then 10ft, concerning because the prior structure broke off during the wind storm and they fixated the structure back onto the fence. It is very unsightly

Tarp is also attached to trees behind the property which is very unsightly
