104 Lincoln Claiming storm damage, please inspect for inclusion in the repair program.
During recent storm, Isaias, tree was shifting back and forth causing nearby sidewalk to lift roughly two inches (so this sidewalk is also now a tripping hazard which will also need to be addressed).
All of the other town trees on Lincoln Street have knocked over in recent storms, taking power lines with them. This tree will likely not make the next storm, either, and will significantly damage one of the nearby homes if it falls. Thank you in advance.

RE: Notice of Sidewalk Damage Due to Tree Root on City Property
I am writing to bring to your attention an issue with the sidewalk on 202 Santa Fe Ave., in Hamden. The sidewalk has been damaged due to a tree root that has caused it to break open, posing a potential hazard to pedestrians and residents in the area. The tree root has grown underneath the sidewalk, causing it to uplift and crack, creating an uneven surface that poses a tripping hazard.
As a concerned citizen and resident of Hamden, I would like to request that the town hall take appropriate action to address this issue and repair the sidewalk as soon as possible to ensure the safety of pedestrians and residents. I understand that the town hall is responsible for maintaining the sidewalks on city property, and I urge you to take prompt action to rectify this matter.
I have attached photographs of the damaged sidewalk for your reference.

Resident called in to express concern with sidewalks fronting the house. Remembers calling in many years ago, however, has not heard anything.
Please inspect and evaluate the sidewalks for the Replacement Program.

Resident called have the sidewalk in area please checked for large lifting due to roots of a large maple tree.

Other side of the road sidewalk is affected and unsafe to walk on.

In front of 147 there are areas of spalling where the sidewalk is nearly gone Please schedule for repair

Sidewalk is cracked and uneven. Tripping hazard for people walking. Many walkers on this busy street.

This is the third time reporting damaged side walk . The other side across the street was repaired.
