Sidewalk impassable - overgrown with brush and weeds

The sidewalk in front of 66 Troiano Road is impassable. It is crumbling and covered in overgrowth and poison ivy from the homeowners front yard.

Red Chevy pickup truck consistently parking on median divider for more than ten minutes at a time. Other cars do the same daily in front of a No Parking Anytime sign.

Top pole of black chain link fence on north side of Putnam between Leeder Hill Dr. And Davenport Dunbar Housing hangs out over sidewalk which could seriously injure someone walking or riding a bike, scooter, rollerblading down the sidewalk close to the fence.

I am the owner of 1530 Dixwell Avenue. I would like the rainbow cleaners business to stop plowing the snow from their property on to my property. My house sits on the corner of Cumley and Dixwell. The owner of Rainbow cleaners plows there snow onto the corner of Dixwell and Cumley. This snow piles up and freezes making the sidewalk on that corner difficult to pass even though I do snow removal. I talked to the owner in the past who says they have always done that and was not willing to stop. But, its is not fair to the occupants of the property or for those doing the snow removal. They just pile all their snow on my property making more work and cost to me.

Large hedges obstruct sidewalk on Brookside and Glen Pkwy year-round. Children have to walk in the street to get to school. This is especially dangerous in the winter, where snow banks prevent any refuge from passing cars.

People are walking in the street opposed to the sidewalk because of the overgrown brush and grass. Annually, for the last 24 years, I have been report this property with Hamden’s planning and zoning Department, and no one responds to this issue. Last year I paid to have someone mow this property while I trimmed the limbs that were protruding out of the fence.

Why can’t Hamden’s resident benefit from services we already pay for annually in our taxes. I’m sick of begging for a service we are Entitled.
