Road & Pothole RepairReconhecido100 Carroll Rd Hamden, Connecticut, 06517 - Hamden
I reside at 100 Carroll road, we have a dangerous ice accumulation that happens every year throughout the winter and it is getting worse, I don’t know where the water is coming from but the ice builds up in front of my driveway extending from our mailbox down the road and it extends further out to the street, this happens from the first freeze point through the winter and the buildup continues to form solid block of ice creating a dangerous condition. Please direct me as to who I can help with this, thank you for your help thank you for reading.
Please contact me for additional help.
Regards.

Drainage IssuesAbrir14 Russell St Hamden, Connecticut, 06517 - Spring GlenUnsure if this is both a drainage issue and a sidewalk repair request. If you can see in the photo with the storm, and the temperatures melting and freezing, there is about 2-3 inches of ice and water/slush pooling. Multiple neighbors have reached out to me to inform it is unsafe. We salt multiple times a day and sand is a good bandaid in the meantime. We have had flooding issues on the sidewalk as well as in our home, it seems to be unlevel where all of the water collects. I realize if something is done it would happen in the spring or summer, and we appreciate any assistance with this issue, thanks!

There are several drains in this area.
That routinely are clogged, and during heavy rains, this area gets flooded and blocks the main road and surrounding area.

Drainage IssuesAbrir21-23 Davis St Hamden, CT, 06517, USA - HamdenSince Hamden Hall cut down all the trees on the old Roche-Dinkeloo property (planned home of the Hamden Hall Middle School), there have been terrible drainage issues at Davis Street just west of the bridge over the reservoir. (Not to mention the terrible loss to the public of this forested area...) No trees, no water absorption. A site engineer and landscape architect ought to have been consulted. During rain events, Davis is now basically impassable due to flooding.

Drainage IssuesReconhecido14 Churchill Rd Hamden, CT, 06517, USA - Spring GlenOur property suffers massive flooding with every heavy rainfall. Water accumulation is directly related to the overflow of the neighboring stream. The stream cannot handle heavy rainfall. Whenever the water level nearly reaches or surpasses the stream bank, we get flooding. The issue is ongoing for years- far before we moved into the neighborhood. I called the Town Engineer office in late December to file a report.

Drainage IssuesReconhecido100 Victoria Ct Hamden, Connecticut, 06514 - HamdenThe property located at 100 Victoria Court has a drain in the middle of the driveway. The drain drains onto the sidewalk which freezes over in the cold weather covering the sidewalk in ice. The icy sidewalk is unsafe to pass on causing a pedestrian to have to walk in the street which is also unsafe.

Drainage IssuesReconhecido155 Hampshire Rd Hamden, Connecticut, 06518 - test hamden SL
I am writing to you because my wife and I are elderly and we are having a flooding problem in our garage and basement due to the recent torrential rains on June 22 and 23. We have already lost stored items (essential items) because our driveway was built on a slope and we are receiving all the rainwater from the entire street because there is no stormwater sewer catch basin in front of our house that can drain all the water from the street during rain storms. Previous years we have had the same problem, but I never complained because we were younger. Now, old, retired, with back problems, and on social security, I cannot continue having losses like the ones I am having. I would like the city of Hamden to put a stormwater sewer catch basin in front of my house as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Ricardo Dominguez
