    The tenants in this rental property has been leaving their trash cans out. This is the third occurrence of them leaving the cans out for more than a week. In December, they left the cans out for six weeks. The trash gets picked up on Wednesdays, the recycling every other week. By Monday their trash is always full and they leave the extra trash bags on the side of the garbage cans at the curb. With the warm weather here, the local critters (raccoons, squirrels, birds, etc) have been picking through their trash and it gets everywhere including my lawn. The attached picture is taken Saturday 6/4/22. The garbage was picked up on Thursday due to the Memorial holiday.

    Is it possible to send a notice to the landlord (a Hamden Resident), additional is it possible to order additional trash cans. The home seems to produce more than the one trash can can hold, every week.

    Hi neighbors, I love our community and do my part by picking up litter, but it’s becoming exhausting to constantly clean up after others. The roads are narrow, cars speed through, and people leave bags of trash next to cans—yet they remain there for days. When trash collectors come, why can’t someone simply grab those bags too, especially when they clearly don’t belong there? On top of that, storm debris and fallen branches are still left around. With the taxes we all pay, shouldn’t these be basic services? It shouldn’t fall on a few of us residents to maintain the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of our neighborhood. Come on, Hamden- help us out. We take pride in our community as taxpayers; we just ask that our town officials do their part too.

    The homeowner leaves garbage cans at the curb 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Its not fair to the other residents in this area to have this eyesore making the neighborhood look trashy. I believe that there is a town ordinance requiring residents to bring garbage and recycling cans back on there property after collection day.

    There are now four large boxes at the curb on the Winnett St. side of this duplex rental home. I reported this before when there were fewer boxes and it was incorrectly closed. The boxes, plus more now, are at the curb on Winnett Street side and the tenants obviously do not know that the boxes need to be broken down and recycled in the blue bin. Please don't close this again until it is resolved. They need a Spanish language recycling guide, I think.
