I am writing to request assistance from the town regarding a cleanup issue in the Downs Road and Gaylord Mountain Road area. For 2295 Down Road area, due to the uncertainty of what the package is, I am unable to safely manage the cleanup on my own and would appreciate any support the town can provide. In the intersection area of Downs and Gaylord, due to the traffic I’m unable to clean up the constant debris that the increase in traffic from route 69 brings and we are trying to maintain the area and would appreciate support from the town. This street has many nails and debris and no one comes to sweep this street. This is the third time I've had to repair my tires from nails and glass. This is unacceptable. Please call me at 203.571.2533

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request assistance with maintaining the cleanliness and safety of Gaylord Mountain Road.

I usually take it upon myself to clean up the litter and clear the gutter areas. However, with the increase in traffic and speeding vehicles, it has become unsafe for me to continue this task alone. Additionally, the overgrown brush is seeping into the road, obstructing visibility and causing damage to vehicles, including mine.

The litter is also becoming increasingly problematic, and it is starting to affect the overall appearance and safety of the area. I believe that with some additional support from the town, we can effectively manage the litter and overgrown brush, ensuring that the water drains properly and the road remains safe for everyone. I know other surrounding towns, such as Woodbridge, Orange and West Hartford enforce their residents to up keep their property- is this something that Hamden would consider? With our high and rising taxes, it’s unfortunate to take pride in your properties appearance and the surrounding properties are run down, leading to a decrease in property value. ge

I kindly request the town’s assistance in addressing these issues. Your support in organizing a cleanup effort and regularly maintaining the area would be greatly appreciated.

Albert Rd and Pleasant Drive desperately need to be cleaned. There is a ton of sand/dirt and parts of the road and curb that were broken off by snow plows

Sidewalks outside the Plaza were not shoveled after the snow and they’re now covered in ice and snow. Very slippery
