Canal Line, Parks & PlaygroundsReconocido595 Mix Ave Hamden, CT, 06514, USA - HamdenThe HHS tennis courts continue to be in a state of deterioration. The patch work to fix cracks was poor at best. There are rough spots in the patched areas, and cracks are reappearing. There is mud on court 8 that has been there for months, rendering it unplayable. The court surfaces are flaking away and the entire court surfaces need to be resurfaced. The steps have tree debris from last Fall. The courts are a disgrace to be used in athletic competition.
The courts have been deteriorating for years. What is the plan to repair them to bring them up to standard? BTW, the Middle School's are not much better. -
127 Treadwell St Hamden, CT, 06517, USA - HamdenThis fence has been damaged at this playground for over a year. Many children play here daily and it should be repaired as well as many pieces of playground equipment that are broken or missing pieces.

435 Brooksvale Ave Hamden CT 06518, United States - CheshireThis footbridge was apparently constructed by the owner of property across from Brooksvale Park. It is property (not sure of the exact address) that backs up to the Farmington Canal Trail. It's the part of the canal trail that runs between Brooksvale Avenue and Mt Sanford Rd. The footbridge is very narrow, with a railing on one side only. The barrier with a "nope" sign indicates that it is not for public use. Children at play might ignore the barrier and "nope" sign and possibly get hurt crossing to the other side. Did this footbridge require a permit? If so, was a permit issued by the town? At the very least, it's a potential safety concern.

The fence has been like this for two years…much of the playground equipment is missing parts, rusty or rotting. Many children play here daily and deserve an safe, updated play space. We pay a lot on taxes and this shouldn’t be this neglected.

General IssuesAbiertoTreadwell Hamden, Connecticut - HamdenFarmington Canal @ Treadwell, Haig have no bars up to prevent motorcycles, mopeds from entering the trail. Kids are always on the trail on mopeds and motorcycles, this is very dangerous for anyone on the trail not to mention illegal. I do not know if other bars are missing but the ENTIRE Trail should be checked for this before someone gets hit by an unlicensed child or adult on a moped or motorcycle,

125 Brook St Hamden CT 06514, United States - HamdenThe Hamden Soccer Association uses various town parks for weekly practices and games More often than not the grass hasn't been mowed and line striping is almost nonexistent Today at Pine Rock Park, the grass was comically long and certainly not conducive to playing soccer The town needs to step it up and make sure these fields are in some semblance of shape for use by residents and the various town sport associations The kids certainly deserve better conditions ,
