Street LightsAbierto238-328 Thornton St Hamden, CT, 06517, USA - Spring GlenThere have been four replacement white street lights installed in the west Spring Glen neighborhood (Thornton Street / Elgin Street) over the last year. The replacement lights are INCREDIBLY bright for a quiet residential neighborhood, so much so that one has to shield their eyes from the glare. Why aren't the traditional amber lights being installed? Are covers going to be installed to diminish the light? At nighttime, it's supposed to be dark. We are avoiding the streets with the new lights for evening walks so we can view the night sky. These new lights are an incredible disservice to the neighborhood.
