    A police bike patrol consisting of approx 10 officers if not more almost crashed into me as I was walking on the canal. I was heading north into the underpass and not immediately visible to them since I was walking all the way to the right. But the entire patrol was taking up the width of the whole canal! As soon as one officer saw me, he yelled "pedestrian!" to warn the others. One of them didn't even notice me or yell "pedestrian" until they had already gotten close to or passed me. They all moved over as if they saw me at the last chance. Do they need to span the entire walking width of the pavement especially around hard-to-see corners?

    The Hamden Soccer Association uses various town parks for weekly practices and games More often than not the grass hasn't been mowed and line striping is almost nonexistent Today at Pine Rock Park, the grass was comically long and certainly not conducive to playing soccer The town needs to step it up and make sure these fields are in some semblance of shape for use by residents and the various town sport associations The kids certainly deserve better conditions ,
