canal trail access path from hamden hills is in need of serious maintenance, just unsure of who is responsible. vegetation is out of control, pavement is falling apart, and fence is broken in many spots. all the trip hazards were spraypainted for the hamden hills road race and there were a lot. it would also be great to widen this path or just construct a new one as it’s way too narrow for the amount of people/bikes using it.

Is it possible to put a garbage can at the opening of Pine Rock Park on Brook street There is always garbage there Thanks
  • 15 Gilbert Avenue Hamden, CT - Hamden
I would like to have the tree in front of 15 Gilbert Ave inspected. The fire department put a caution tape on it during one of the recent storms, but I don't think anyone has followed up on it. I have requested to have this tree trimmed or (removed if needed) previously. It has lost several more branches since that time, and it could be hazardous to passersby,or drivers .

We use the linear trail quite a bit and find that there's a blind spot where the trail crosses Brooksvale Avenue in Hamden, on the north side of the crossing. Is it possible to have the trees/brush cut back from the road to improve visibility? We're worried someone may get mowed down.

I was sent an email saying I had to resubmit a new request. Please note my original request was in 2020 was never completed..the town tree is lifting up the sidewalk making it a hazardous condition. One side of the tree is dead which makes it extremely dangerous in inclement weather. Also note I had to replace tires due to the lift/point on the sidewalk is in my driveway making it difficult to get in and out. Please advise when we can expect to get this fixed

The tree directly across from my residence at 90 Lincoln Street is a hazard. The tree is leaning toward my residence and there is a distinct possibility that it could come down in a storm and cause damage to my residence. Any questions please contact me directly at 203-376-1055. Mike O’Sullivan

During recent storm, Isaias, tree was shifting back and forth causing nearby sidewalk to lift roughly two inches (so this sidewalk is also now a tripping hazard which will also need to be addressed).
All of the other town trees on Lincoln Street have knocked over in recent storms, taking power lines with them. This tree will likely not make the next storm, either, and will significantly damage one of the nearby homes if it falls. Thank you in advance.
  • 1-35 High View Ter Town of Hamden, CT, 06514, USA - Hamden
Driving north on Mix Avenue from Benham Street, opposite the area of the ice skating rink is a bank of trees on the West side (across from the rink) that overhang Mix Avenue traffic lanes - 1/2 to 2/3 over the roadway. It is time that the property owner/s or the Town removes ALL the tree branches that overhang the traffic lanes.
In addition, the sidewalk on many sections of Mix Avenue, West side, are overgrown with weeds and leaf litter making walking challenging.
We think that the apartment building owners and property managers should care for these areas as they do the actual rental property. And the Town should be sending notices to them to remind them of their civic responsibility. Why doesn't the town issue warnings?

  • Leeder Hill Dr & Treadwell St Town of Hamden, CT, 06517, USA - Hamden
A few weeks ago, Hamden did a beautiful job of repaving this intersection. THANK YOU!
Now traffic moves so fast that there is a new hazard. Coming from Dixwell Ave, the traffic light is obscured until the last moment by two branches hanging over the street and cars are running the red light.
  • 1-287 Kenwood Ave Town of Hamden, CT, 06518, USA - Hamden District 1
Two trees on the corner of Klarman and Kenwood are diseased/dead. Branches fall in the street and larger damage looks inevitable.
