  • Valley St New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - Amity
I'm living in New Haven for the past 3 years. I and hundred of people use Valley Street to reach the Highway 15 on the No and So bound on a daily basis.
Going to my 4th year as a resident, I never saw any, absolutely no repair or improvement on that street pavement.
That street is full of puddles and holes and constantly contributing for the wear and tear of vehicles including mine.
Please, add this road to the next asphalt improvement project of the City.
    Thank you,
    Sonie Boada

Every once and again there’s a periodic review of postings and old requests are closed. However there’s been a LOT of discussion but no action taken on Issue ID 5439 and Issue ID 8658. These issues were posted - respectively - 5/15/2009 and 9/28/2009. Will the City of New Haven and/or Dept. of Public Works please give a definitive answer or time table regarding the resolution of these requests?
  • 31 Marie St New Haven, CT, 06513, USA - Fair Haven Heights
I’ve been on marie for over 12 years and this street has never been paved the city came and dug gas connections to a few homes I believe switched from oil to gas and the street is bumpy and cracks everywhere. It would be nice lf it could get paved we could ride bikes roller skating or just simply walk on a nicely paved street for a change .

  • 60 Ogden St New Haven, Connecticut, 06511 - Prospect Hill

Phil Langdon asks me to post this issue for him: “For as long as I’ve lived in the neighborhood (39 years), there’s been an approximately 10-foot-long section of Ogden Street that’s missing a sidewalk. For a long time, the missing sidewalk was not a big problem. But in recent years, as roots have protruded above ground, that stretch of missing sidewalk has become a hazard for pedestrians. In the winter, that sidewalk is not shoveled, which adds to the danger for people walking on Ogden Street.

Could you ask the City to install a sidewalk on that short stretch of Ogden St?”

  • 1592 Chapel St New Haven Ct 06511 United States - West River
This whole section of sidewalk really needs to be scheduled for repair. This is a main thorough fare in New Haven and it’s a really bad look. It’s also completely inaccessible to wheelchairs or folks who have trouble walking.
  • 55 Redfield St New Haven CT 06519, United States - Hill
Would like to request speed humps on Redfield Street due to the speed in which cars and motorcycles come down the street. There are many children on this street. Help me keep them safe. Have emailed Ward 4 and received no response on this request.

When this sidewalk breaks prematurely can we bill UPS for the repair cost? They have been using this location recently as their own parking spot and some of the utility boxes in the sidewalk have already cracked. At the very least there should be some planters here just like the ones in front of the federal building a few feet down.
