the entire stretch of Goethals road North from Charlie Brown's restaurant to Forest avenue is filled with illegal dumping. It's hard to see from the road because of all the illegally parked tractor trailers and buses so I went around some of them to take these pictures. It just gets worse and worse. I have to look behind the parked tractor trailers, buses , there's even a camper parked there

Terrible open lot covered in illegally dumped trash

The pumping station on this property run by the DEP is a mess. The property goes down Richmond Avenue from Hylan Blvd to and including Prol Place. The DEP does not maintain this property so people think it's ok to dump their trash here. This is a chronic problem because the property is not maintained. I wish I could add more pictures so you could get the full effect of what this property looks like and how much trash is in the weeds. The few times the DEP has had someone cut the weeds they do a very poor job. They never clean up the cuttings they're left on the sidewalk and street, it's a disgrace. This is a very nice neighborhood where people do take care of their property. It's shameful that the DEP, of all the city agencies, does not maintain the property they occupy! Over the years my neighbors and I have called 311 to get the trash picked up but I think it's time to shame the DEP into maintaining their property on a regular basis.
