    We recently purchased the house next door to 57 Martha Ave. The property is abandoned and is a significant health and safety concern. The backyard is overgrown and there is a pest problem (primarily skunks), the roof holds standing water for weeks after rain (resulting in mosquitoes), and the house generally looks like it may have structural problems. I have talked to two city departments (housing and abandoned buildings) and filed complaints, and they have held hearings and levied fines, but they have told me that's all they can do. I am hoping the city attorney can help me to address this issue.

    Bed bugs, roaches, rodents everywhere. Floor is water damaged with black mold everywhere. The live environment and condition appalling. What's sad is that the city never does anything about it and just leaves us here to die.. Thanks sf.

    Hello, I have serious bed bug and roach issues. Since I have been at this residence there has been only one treatment each (bed bug and rodent). This was almost 2 months ago. Housing management has not followed up for various reasons (out of office, change in management - whcih incidentally is what delayed initial treatmetn for almost 2 months). I had to buy new furniture. I asked for the hardest treatment and accommodation and have requested again. Four hours for these bedbugs is not enough> They have now ruined my bed, the new rocking chair - I have new rugs - vacuuming does not help. Less than 24 hours after spraying, they were back. The pest control said to keep the mattress protector on, and he ripped it off - another expense. I am having to buy another one, this bed was new. They said they would be back one week after spraying and sill no show. My last email to the district manager was on 1/7/13. I have a reaction to bed bugs. I cannot keep other people's things here due to it. I have to sleep whenever I can, they are so bad at night. I feel I should be assisted with staying over somewhere while a stronger eradication is done (also, assistance with loss of furniture). Thanks.

    There is a store operating at this location in the afternoons. There is not a permit for retail sales on the property. The structure is zoned rh3. No neighborhood notifcation/approval was ever made to turn this into a retail, walk-in store.

    4370 25th St. San Francisco, California - Noe Valley
    Owners of 4372 25th St. added a separate unit to their home, granted address 4370 25th St. by the city. They claimed it was for future retirement of parents. Unit has never been listed for residential occupancy.
    Last summer they rented it to their friends for a month or two. Since then it has remained unoccupied other than numerous visitors using AirBnB. Nearly every week since November there's been a short term vacation rental. The owners do not occupy the unit, nor have they ever lived in it, let alone for 3 months. They live upstairs in 4372. The owner Andy, may claim to have a home office in the unit, but this is a storage room that is available to potential short-term renters, as described in the Air BnB listing.     Stewart's mini market on corner of sutter & broderick. they seem to have a uhaul business in a residential area. Picture is of uhaul sign on business (right) & 2 parked uhaul trucks (left). There was a 3rd earlier. Theres almost always uhauls parked at any guven time. Not sure if this is legal since its residential. I work from home & parking is a premium & I pay $100/yr for a permit. If this is illegal, please address with the owners. Parking is bad enough!
