Alluvial flow remnants on road surface from recent rains in multiple locations.

Rain water run off has washed away the soil creating a hole at the roads shoulder. Soon the narrow shoulder will collapse and cause the south lane to be undrivable.

Years of wash/post storm street cleaning has added to the normal flow of the North flowing wash being blocked by overburdened sand trapping all the water on the street and now forcing overflow water diverted abnormally to and around surrounding properties. Also, the North running water could easily be diverted down the West running wash on the North side of Dawson; within the already available wash within the Dawson Rd Easement.

"I am the Community Manager for Hardy Estates HOA. Over the past several years, the association has experienced significant water runoff issues, with large volumes of water flowing onto the community streets, overflowing basins, and potentially impacting nearby homes.Previously, Pima County installed riprap to help manage the runoff; however, it has deteriorated over time. The association is now seeking a more permanent solution to address the ongoing drainage and sediment runoff issues affecting Hardy Estates."

Please review the area at W Morondo Av west of 400 block where it dumpsi into the arroyo that starts at Cunada. Is there anything you can do about the drainage issue that is causing erosion?

I am the Association Manager for Cortina Terrace HOA. The street that leads into the community Cortina Place, is draining all the water from the rain into the community and into homeowners yards. The Board would like to know what can be done about this situation, as it is costing the Association money to continually fix the issues from this. Please respond to [email protected]

The problem is in the easement running parallel to River Rd., and the culvert at
the (north -east) intersection of River Rd and N San Joaquin at the entrance to
the River Crossing III subdivision. Debris, sediment, trash and overgrown Vegetation

It appears that between the years of 2005 to April 2008, construction on Snyder Rd (filling in the road and adding culverts) caused a significant shift in the flood plain because it slowed down drainage. This is evident in areal photos from these time periods and is obvious from the size of the wash vs. the size of the very small culverts. I'm wondering if Pima County Transportation will investigate this and improve drainage so that the flow follows the historical natural path and isn't slowed down by the road which leads to multiple problems.
