It is an increasingly dangerous turn lane to be waiting in and the sensor often does not acknowledge cars waiting to turn and misses the cycle. I often see cars simply just waiting for a break in oncoming traffic and running the red left arrow. I don’t blame them— we’re “sitting ducks” in the middle of a high-speed, multi-lane parkway. Driving a small car, I’m worried about getting rear ended and would rather get out of the parkway traffic as soon as possible. -
