Detroit Water & Sewerage Dept. PIU

Resident called to report that the sewer behind 18948 Greenfield had caved in.

This catch basin has failing asphalt surrounding it. The location is near the entrance to the parking lot for the AT&T building, at the end of Smith Street, on John R.

I think the Alley basin is caved in. Causing backups on the street.

I cannot recall how many times this has been reported, hole still open and exposed. 6/2 update, basement sewer/ drains, backfilling basement with rainwater run off from this hole.

My tenant fell coz the coverage the wasn't properly filled

This is at the corner of w. Outer drive and W. McNichols I see it all of the time when I'm out walking Sometimes, I almost step in it and it's a fairly deep hole. It could cause someone to get hurt if they aren't paying attention ..

This occurred when stormwater washes soil into a defective pipe or structure. Over time, the ground or pavement above the defective pipe or structure sinks. Detroit this is a health and dangerous hazard, smells terribly and overall is a public nuisance! Please lets fix this and clean up Detroit. Thank You!

the sewers are clogged, have been for some years. the entire block is flooded and water is not going into the drains. the water is coming up onto the grass and drive way.

Same issue as #12613155, but no one has come out yet, and poop is floating around in the basement.
The yard is 50 ft long, but the blockage was observed by "Tim's Extreme Plumbing" at 70 ft. Clay was found at the tip of the snake, indicated a collapsed sewer.
