Detroit Water & Sewerage Dept. IYO

I have been reporting this sewer cave in since June after the flood. My basement floods every time it rains. I am not connected to the sewer, because of the cave in. The cave in behind my house stinks. So everything that goes down the drain comes up in my basement. I got opinion from two different plumbers, and they both say the sewer has collapse. I have no heat because of the constant flooding, they can't install the furnace. Why am i paying the water bill for services I am not connected to.

Deep (over 6 foot) SINKHOLE is still open and unmarked.
It is now a vehicle hazard to any auto that hit the hole.

sewer tap keeps caving in causing us to have to snake the line to the tap in the alley. we sent camera down and confirmed the sewer is compromised at the tap in the alley because the sewer main appears to be compromised

Hole has now extended beyond the sewer grate and parts of the street is currently collapsin, due to soil erosion .

At gas station corner at van dyke and Jefferson

Asphalt surrounding this drain has been breaking down for weeks. Now sewer drain completely exposed. Surprised no serious car damage. Worried about rain on Sunday.

Lead sewer line was replaced, but the job was never completed

man was in the alley today with heavy commercial equipment shoving all the alley garbage into neighboring yards- in doing so he ran over the city sewer in the alley crushing it- as if we don't have enough trouble with rain water he broke the thing! he told me he "didn't know it was there" and was "just cleaning up the neighborhood" in reality pushing all the waste and garbage and speed dumping in neighboring yards is not cleaning up the neighborhood
