I'm not sure if this is a manhole or sink hole but it's definitely unsafe to be half way covered when there's a school nearby and heavy traffic on this street. This has been unresolved for the past 2-3 years with just a city traffic cone over it.

Investigate water valve (well). Either sinking or damaged. DWSD signage indicates they are aware of the issue.

The alley behind our house has been torn up for weeks. The holes depicted in the picture have been covered by steel plates, but they are not straight so it's still possible to drive one's car into the holes. It has been very difficult to get in and out of our garage.

I believe the project is to replace the bricks for the alley. They were removed when a new water line was installed a few months ago to replace the legacy lead water line. A black asphalt was temporarily installed.
