    As I went to add this, I see other people have posted about the same area last year. It is the lot next to 7834 Elizabeth. Can the person that owns this lot or the city take care of it so we can actually use the sidewalk. I watched a young girl with a stroller have to go out into the street to get around these bushes.

    There was work done here by Duke Energy with gas line issues. They tore out the grass and sidewalk, repairing it to look like this today. I live at 7400 Elizabeth and gave my neighbor at this address sod from my yard to fill the rest. I plan to dig up more this week to replenish the hole.

    My concern lies with the condition of the sidewalk, I find it unacceptable that they put blacktop instead of concrete pavement on there. The job was not done well. I’m not sure if this is a temporary fix but it will likely not age well.

    Is blacktop up to city code or is it required that sidewalks be concrete material?
