330 North Santiago Trail Casa Grande, Arizona, 85194 - Casa Grande
Is it possible to have a speed trap set on Santiago Trail? Speed bumps would be great also but I’m not suggesting that. People drive too fast. Snow birds can be the worst offenders but locals aren’t always great either. We live by a rounded corner and there’s a lot of older folks who live here and are walking dogs and crossing streets and I’m surprised I haven’t seen worse.

I have camera recordings of City construction crew using the water from my home to use for their construction/activities. Why are they using my water? Will you be reimbursing me for the use of this water? They used it for about an hour. This has happened once before.

20860-21662 W Peters Rd Casa Grande, AZ, 85193, USA - Casa Grande
The section of Peters Road between Burris and Life Tile Road has been closed for a year and it finally reopened. It is a terrible road! The older sections of Peter are in better condition with less bumps than this new piece. It needs to be redone.

Metronet cut my sidewalk in front of my driveway and I need it fixed ASAP. I need to put my house on the market so I need concrete put in to repair the hole. Metronet claims the city is withholding permits. This has been going on for 4 weeks. Thank you, Craig Fitzgerald

Not sure if this is the appropriate way to report this issue. For the new lane construction in front of Union High School, there is a major blind spot for the people coming out of School drop off, turning onto the road into the dedicated forward lane. It is really hard to see if there is anybody in that lane before pulling out. Traffic is blinded by the dedicated right-turn lane. Although the dedicated lanes are great, maybe they should separate the lanes further back so shorter cars can see traffic. Please can we get some kind of alteration to the new temporary lane construction asap? Thank you.

2405 E Hancock Trl Casa Grande, Arizona, 85194 - Casa Grande

    Good Afternoon Ms. Ocken,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns regarding traffic safety on East Hancock Trail. We understand the importance of safety in your community, especially given the number of residents and visitors using this corridor.

To provide context, the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) requires that speed limits be established and enforced through posted R2-1 Speed Limit signs. These signs are the legally recognized and enforceable devices. Road surface markings, such as painted speed numerals, may sometimes be used for supplemental information but they do not carry regulatory authority under MUTCD. More details can be found here: https://mutcd.fhwa.dot.gov/htm/2003r1/part2/part2b2.htm

This roadway currently meets the statutory requirements for speed limit signage, and any violations are subject to enforcement. In line with MUTCD standards and City policy, additional pavement markings will not be installed at this location.

We sincerely appreciate your concern for the safety of your neighbors, and your input helps us remain mindful of traffic safety priorities in Casa Grande.

    Respectfully,
    Mac Harmon
Civil Engineer – Public Works Department
