City of Oakland Private Property - Code Enforcement PLUS

There’s chickens and other animals in the backyard that seems like they’re not being well taken care of. The smell of feces is so bad, we can’t enjoy hanging out in the backyard.

This property its being used as an auto shop. People bring cars to this house to be fixed. They block the entrance to residents, they leave trash and oil everywhere and they work late. They block house residents driveways and parked cars in the middle of the street. This owner has over 10 cars park on this block without moving them for more than 6 months. Sweepers can't clean the street as cars are never moved. This activity brings vandalism and pollution to this block.

There is a food truck that is operating there. Businesses around the neighborhood are not happy. They just showed up.

At this property, they use the garage located in the backyard as an apartment. Property r tenants have rented it several times and it is not meant to live in. The garage is small and does not meet with safety regulations, property tenants added a door and windows to this garage.

Auto shop at 6200 Shattuck Ave being illegally operated today (10/11/21) by evicted tenant per settlement agreement signed on May 10, 2021 with City Attorney Patrick Bears and City Administrator Greg Minor.

This rooster is literally crowing every day from 3am onward, and is pretty incessant. Does not appear to have a crow collar on and wanders around the houses/apartments closest to 3146-3150

Occupants are running what appears to be a auto repair business in the parking area and the street

This private residence is listed as a public business / as a yoga studio but does not have ADA compliance or assistance available for public access. No official business information is available to verify if legitimate or officially registered as such.

The results of my complaints to 311 and code enforcement ended with my suffering a broken foot, broken fingers, a broken nose and bruised ribs. Learned my lesson to just shut up and suffer the extreme noise and lighting due to progress.

There is amplified music blaring into the street and sidewalk every night

The footprint of this home being repaired for "fire damage" has almost doubled. The roofing in the rear of the parcel is not original and is significantly larger than what was originally there.
