City of Oakland Private Property - Code Enforcement PLUS

An excavator has begun grading work at 6060 Grizzly Peak Blvd. There is no notice that this work is pursuant to permit. Further, workers are illegally dumping massive amounts of flammable items (wood and brush debris) onto Park property. EB Parks has been notified.

This car has been parked in this spot for over two months. Some of the tires are jacked up. It's unsafe, broken glass, perhaps by bullets. Its parked in front of apartment building that appears to be falling apart. The slum lord needs to address issues for the debilitating unsafe apartment building. Maybe someone needs to do well check?

RAW SEWAGE OVERFLOWING INTO THE YARD INTO NEIGHBORS YARD AND BACKED UP INTO THE KITCHEN AND SHOWER. TOLD LANDLORD ON FRIDAY SHE WILL NOT SEND ANYONE TO FIX IT. BROKEN DOORS AND WINDOW FOR SIX MONTHS. HAS =FOOD0 BUSINESS ON THE PROPERTY AND IS PREPARING FOOD FOR SALE RIGHT NEXT TO THE SEWAGE OVERFLOW

To whom it may concern, and for the record, here's the list of incomplete requested repairs in our unit at 5540 E-17TH ST, Oakland, CA 94621, requests/complaints that were reported multiple times from March, 2023, till present as follows:

1. The back doors don't properly lock, allowing entry from the outside of the back doors, reported 03/09/2023, 03/20/2023, and 04/12/2023.

2. The back porch light doesn't work, reported 03/09/2023, 03/20/2023, and 04/12/2023.

3. Water continues to leak under the kitchen sink due to incomplete repairs done on 12/31/2023, reported 12/24/2023. 12/29/20123,

4. Electrical hazard under kitchen sink continues to exist due to incomplete plumbing repair done on 12/31/2023, by hired plumber, reported 03/20/2023, and 12/31/2023 by hired plumber.

5. Electrical hazard above kitchen countertops due to reciprocal not being GFCI, reported 03/09/2023, 03/20/2023, and 04/12/2023.

6. Foul stench of black mold from the basement and under the house due to long duration of standing water from disconnected pipe attaching to the tub in the front bathroom, and flooding basement, reported 12/20/2023, 12/24/2023, 12/31/2023.

7. Gnat infestation due to long duration of standing water from disconnected pipe attaching to the tub in the front bathroom, and flooding basement, reported 12/31/2023

8. No smoke detector in basement, reported
12/31/2023.

9. Trip hazard in the driveway due to rain gutters, reported 12/31/2023.

10. Reciprocal by the front door not working, reported 03/09/2023, 03/20/2023, and 04/12/2023

11. Damaged weather stripping under the front door, reported 03/09/2023, 03/20/2023, and 04/12/2023.

12. Unsecured mailbox, never received a key, reported 03/09/2023, 03/20/2023, and 04/12/2023.

13. Annoying sound from basement due to running sump pump, reported 12/31/2023.

14. Annoying sound in bedroom number one due to detached rain gutter dripping water onto downspout at the bottom of the house, reported, 12/27/2023.

The building structure appeared on this vacant lot at the intersection of Michigan and Sunkist in Eastmont Hills. There are numerous clear code violations not least of which is there is not permit and this building violates set back codes. The building appears to have wiring but it is not wired.

Building has voice activated electronic security trespassing alarm. The alarm is toooo loud and announces trespassing warning all day and most annoying at night!

Manufactured home delivered to the front yard

Faulty plumbing- water leaking into the downstairs unit. Bottom unit was constructed without permits. Multiple home improvement projects were conducted without permits.

Both exits are compromised (front stairs are dry rotted, back exit is barricaded). The backyard and side of house is completely overgrown with vegetation and is a potential fire hazard. There is mold throughout bathroom and kitchen. Also lead based paint.

There are multiple code violations throughout the property.

Ground level store of building has had unfinished and completely unsealed and unpainted exterior walls for past 5 years.

Please enforce the building codes and hold this property owner accountable.

The residents at 9124 Thermal Street have dogs in a cage in the backyard that bark throughout the night. They are left out in the rain. The residents also party every weekend with their music blasting for hours. It is very hard to sleep since they have moved here. Please check on the dogs and confirm that they are ok. I would like the music to be reduced for their amusement only and not the entire neighborhood.
