City of Oakland Private Property - Code Enforcement PLUS

The Junction Scaffolding shop at 5630 San Pablo Ave is in a dangerous and dilapidated condition. The walls have several cracks, and the roof is accumulating debris and rainwater. It may fall apart anytime as there are heavy rainfall and storms recently. It poses a great risk to our lives and may damage our property located next to it at 1091 Aileen St. It needs immediate attention. The owner could not be contacted, so I am contacting the City for inspection and action to protect our property and safety.

This aircondition is seen from my kitchen window and as walk down to my home from my 13 stairs to my front door. He said he would cover it . He only covers the area that people can see the side of his house from the street

These people are doing construction on their house with all kindsof different construction trucks coming here.Concrete trucks and all kind of different material type of trucks and they're dropping off and doing work before eight o'clock in the morning, which is extremely uncalled for.

I am the current tenant of the aforementioned location. After the first rain of the year, rain came streaming through the roof, when the roofers arrived to fix it they commented how it wasn’t up to code and I saw what appeared to be black mold in the area where the leak was, that was not addressed. I entered the basement for the first time last week and saw rat feces everywhere. There is also a crack in a front window, which is single pane and has not been addressed, despite written notice to the landlord over 30 days ago.

630pm and still drilling and sanding and pounding concrete. NOISE. Construction at all hours.

Lately, I've noticed mold in my apartment, and it's becoming more frequent. I've also developed an itchy rash, and my breathing has worsened. I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine at night, so I consider this a serious problem. I've informed my landlord, but he hasn't found a solution. A person who works for him came to inspect the apartment and told me that the walls in the bedrooms lack proper insulation and that there isn't enough ventilation. Please, I need someone to come and check or inspect my apartment.

Fire doors are not closing. Tenants(?) apparently sprung the hinges. Also doors are too frequently blocked open in violation of state & local laws and codes. Reported to Mgmt Co with no response. Having firsthand experience with the Camp Fire as a Search & Rescue professional, I understand all to well the power of fire.

During a power outage in June of 2025, when trying to exit the building, I noticed several lights in the stair well were out. Additionally, the emergency open function on the garage door did not work. Also, someone got stuck in the elevator and the fire department had to come and open the door. There are no window screens/coverings for the unit windows. Blown fuses/outlets in apartment unit's kitchen.

The commercial property next door, previously El Malecon, at 3829 Foothill Blvd, Oakland, CA 94601 has an unpermitted addition (new wing and patio) which I checked the Oakland permitting records for to show it was unpermitted. This addition is within inches of my house and creates a fire hazard among others. The property listed in the complaint is my house because the system would not let me put in the address of the commercial property.

I am hoping to get this remedied before the sale to the new owner, as I understand it is currently on the commercial real estate market.

I am complaining about 3327 68th ave. they are clearly working on thier plumbing. they left this set up but now I have a muddy mess on my property. you can see the hole in one picture and the muddy mess in another.
