Car has a broken back windshield and flat tires. Has been sitting there since the 28th of December.

I think for as long as I have lived in the Adams Point neighborhood, this house at 389 Euclid has had water discharging from pipes onto the sidewalk, down the gutter, and into the storm drain. I don't think it's rainwater or water from a sump pump; I think it's potable water of some kind. But not sure, it could be sump pump water... In any case, please have someone investigate this potential non-stormwater discharge to the City's storm sewer system. Thanks!

Mold bloom in rental property at 13331 Campus Drive, Oakland, CA, 94619. We as tenants notified the landlord of this bloom in March of 2023, and he has done nothing to make repairs. We have also discovered that the problematic garage was built without a permit.

Unpermitted housing structure in backyard. No demo permit for previous structure. No setbacks on all sides.
  • 2537 34th Ave Oakland, California, 94601 - Peralta-Hacienda
Plumber advised me that the landlord does not want to take care of the water damages and moisture all long the ceiling and walls, and rather instructed the plumber to just spackle the areas up and leave it alone, going against what the plumber advised and recommended to him the work that needs to be done. Therefore, plumber is only replacing the rotted pipe that caused the leak.

Yellow tag still posted work is being done not sure if it’s permitted or not but haven’t heard a single thing since I acknowledged I want to move back in upon completion. Will update if I ever get relocation assistance from landlords which should happen prior to work permit being grants and if it’s not permitted then should be put to a stop. Neighbors reported they are inside my unit on a daily basis and found some of my property left in front of the unit. The rest of my property has been auctioned off according to landlords. Lack of proper permits, management, documentation, communication, compliance etc seems to be a given for these owners. If place is habitable I should be made aware as required per Oakland regulations and tenant protection ordinance. If it’s still not habitable work shouldn’t be allowed until required relocation payments are made. Pictures included were taken on 9/06/2023. Place seems to not be habitable still and yellow tag remains over 6.5 months after place was yellow tagged due to water damage. Things like refrigerator and oven that are outside weren’t even an issue but have been removed along with everything we owned and had in our home the day we woke up to a fire after place was put on fire watch and were forced to leave with only what we could carry. Please enforce any and all city or county codes and regulations so these landlords can be held accountable as the law is intended. Thanks for your time.

The settling of the home caused a crack in the wall next to the window (pictured) along with the window cracking. We have notified the landlord as of 3/16/23 and nothing has been done to repair.

Many of the windows in the home are opaque. The windows are also potentially a safety hazard due to the fact that they are difficult to open (they do not slide easily it takes serious muscle to open). I am not sure if they are up to code. Mostly all of the window seals become moist and have condensation between the panes causing moisture and mold to accumulate around the frames and on the panes of the windows. The landlord is well aware of this and has done nothing to correct any of the windows.

9/5/23: I came home around 4:30pm (apt 408) to my apartment leaking. My neighbor 308 came upstairs to complain about her apartment also leaking. We went up to the 5th floor and found 508 is vacant. From the hallway we could hear the water was heavily dripping in 508 and the carpeted hallway was wet. We then went up to the roof where two workers were and asked them to help find a solution for this. They followed us to our apartments, they took a quick look and said they’d send over someone to help. The maintenance manager came up with one of the roof men and with a dry mop bucket no soap no water just spread around the dirty water everywhere and then left. I took some old bedsheets and used them to soak up the puddles. They had no equipment with them. They used my small folding table as a step stool to unscrew the light ornament which was full of dirty liquid and poured it out directly onto my floor. They managed to shut the water off but the leak continued for the rest of the day. It is now 9/7/23 and nothing has been done. The walls in my closet have bubbles full of liquid in the paint. This morning two crew members came in to look at the damage and my property manager has let me know they are going to come in with dehumidifiers. All of my belonging that were in my closet smell of mildew and are damp. Mold takes 24-48hrs to develop after water exposure. It is a risk to my health and an overall issue that is taking to long to resolve. I work for SIMA Restoration, a water restoration, mold remediation & reconstruction company. The same day 9/5/23 the leak was happening I contacted the property manager and insisted we take care of the issue immediately to avoid mold. They already had a contract with another vendor but they’ve done nothing yet.
