Damage to park amenitiesAcknowledgedDavidson Elementary School - RillitoThere's a loose pole in the middle of the foot bridge. Staff were concerned that it was moving and bending at the top and the kids were trying to swing on in to make it bend. Students also stated that teenagers from kidco were trying to get it to break and it has since gotten worse. Attaching pics but hoping there's something that can be done to keep it more stable.

Damage to park amenitiesAcknowledged6900-6902 E Julia St Tucson, AZ, 85710, USA - Yale Estates
I’ve lived in this neighborhood for about 15 years, and one of the things that made it feel special was the park. It gave the area character and offered a place for kids to play, families to gather, and neighbors to connect. It was a defining feature of our community.
But after a long renovation and months without water, the park feels stripped of what made it meaningful. Many of the mature trees are dying or already gone. Some have been cut down, leaving stumps that are easy to trip over. The shade that once made this space usable—especially in Tucson’s intense sun—is now missing. That’s a serious concern in a city with high rates of skin cancer.
This change isn’t just about how the park looks. It affects how we use the space, how safe it feels, and even how our homes are valued. It’s hard to watch decades of growth and care disappear in such a short time.
There’s still time to protect what’s left. The remaining trees need consistent watering and attention. If we act now, we can preserve the last pieces of this park’s legacy and keep it a place worth gathering in.

Damage to park amenitiesAcknowledged1514-1534 S Sentinel Peak Rd Tucson, AZ, 85745, USA - Menlo Park
More destruction in Sentinel Peak Park. This is the bottom parking lot where the big rocks were moved so people could go off roading in the park. This continues to be an issue and the rocks are not a solution.
Until the city installs something permanent that can't be moved, this very special place will continue to be destroyed.
