There are joggers and walkers on the trails who don't wear masks and don't keep 6 ft. What can be done about this? Can I carry a spray bottle with me and spray in a 6ft radius? Can I carry a 6 ft stick so people have to go around it? I predict the city will advise me not to do these things and tell us they are working on a solution. But I think we all know these people will keep doing what they want unless they are deterred in some way.

Now, we have 2 fires burning on the harbor, there is so much smoke you can smell it inside the building. It’s dry and windy outside which makes for further fire problems.
There are also larger groups gathering.

You have recently closed off the Farnam Rd thru English Dr which has now caused some traffic but my understanding is this was done due to people not adhering to social distancing and wearing face masks but that has not stopped anyone from still going thru the trails and that road..People are still gathering thru the area and the park. Also the sign blocking the beginning of the road on mitchell abd orange has not stopped people from going around the sign.

I am writing as a pedestrian that frequently needs to walk down state street. As outdoor/indoor dining has reopened it has been increasingly hard to avoid mask-less diners while walking down the street. Often, the only way to avoid walking right next to these diners is to walk in the street. Now, this upper state street restaurant is building out a patio in the street to expand their outdoor dining area. This eliminates any way to walk down this block of state street while avoiding mask-less restaurant goers. In fact many of the upper state street restaurants are taking over the entire sidewalk area for dining. How are folks that need to use the sidewalk to access their dwellings suppose to be able to safely walk without having to expose themselves to folks eating and drinking with no masks? I would like the see the city consider how to create safe walkways where folks that don't want to come within 6ft feet of people with no masks on can safely walk down city sidewalks.

I take my dog for a walk every day looping around Orange and Whitney between Humphrey and Willow. Over the past week, I have only seen ~20-25% of people out in public spaces wearing face coverings (masks, shirts, bandannas, etc.). Today's count was 36 / 162 (22%) people wearing protection. I've observed close to 1,200 people of this past week and this rate seems constant. This is way too few people given the city and state mandates to wear masks.

I saw this online and thought it too was a good visual of why masks are needed and should be required in East Rock Park and other outdoor places. Thank you for keeping them open so we can enjoy nature!

I am concerned that three people in my household have not qualified for the CVS drive up testing. One of which is a healthcare worker and a caregiver to an elderly family member. What are the qualifications of being able to be tested if these are not?

Covid 19 Exemption at City Point?!
It’s May 1. Garbage continues to pile up. Luckily seems some are exempt from Covid 19 and half a dozen ordinances.

Multiple afternoons at Christopher Martin’s I have seen more than six people outside congregating drinking with no protective gear. Bars are explicitly NOT open for drinking and socializing!

From about 9 to 10 AM on the morning of Monday, August 3rd, 2020, there was an issue at the apartment building next store (I think it was a probably a gas leak.) Multiple firefighters and trucks arrived. The residents were standing outside, mostly maintaining social distancing and wearing masked. Almost none of the firefighters were wearing masks, including someone who got out of a car marked "Battalion 33 Chief". At one point, they were all grouped together with very little distance between them and I counted 8 of them not wearing masks. They did not seem to be respecting social distancing from the residents either. This is unacceptable. How can we expect common citizens to respect mask-wearing and social distancing when public servants do not model the behavior?
