This gentleman has been blocking the crosswalk for the past two weeks to almost a month as well as illegally parking at no stand zone I almost got hit by a car crossing the street when I should’ve been able to cross on sidewalk

Columbus House : This Director should be removed immediately , her posted comments really reveal an incompetence. Literally admitting she has no clue. Hi! I live in New Haven, CT. The Mobil gas station on Kimberly Ave has left me with deep injury. On July 31st, 2022. I was assaulted by a man working the overnight shift.

I went to buy a item . Now before I get to the vile assault, I want to tell you that this gas station is a well known prostitution and drug den. In fact, like many drug houses police do nothing, city look the other way. I once saw a man turning a trick with another man. I have complaint but the owner somehow benefits. No upstanding Bussiness owner would allow this type of criminality. The owners excuses are cheap and deeply concerning.

In my vulnerable community women are confronted with discrimination. I am no exception. I face violence, abuse, unequal treatment, disrespect plenty. The psychological distress that this man put me through is criminal and inhuman.

He said to try the item to see if it worked. I responded by saying that I would try it in my car as I felt unsafe.

He proceeded to act with brutalization. He grabbed my hand and pried my hand open took the item and told me I had to do as he said. I was terrified, frankly I went into panic as no one expects to purchase an item and get assaulted. This man also imposed over my free will by not allowing me exit from the store. I had to scream at the top of my lungs to get him to let me out.

The place was full of people. I worried because the crowed seemed tense. We have many shootings and I was scared this would continue to escalate as people kept asking what happened.

I was in absolute shock. The next day I ask police what I needed to do. I also went back and asked for preservation of the camera as the man that assaulted me said “your on camera”. The owner told me it was erased. The owner offers me $100 to not go to police.

The adverse effect has me deep distress, strain, tense around men, and anxious. I deserve justice. Police did nothing.

It is my most sincere desire that this be looked into. No woman should be profiled for brutality!

After learning surrounding communities and businesses being the subject of robberies, young boys and girls are being subjected to sex trafficking, drug use. We have also witnessed drug dealing, loitering, trespassing, received reports of misuse of others properties, and were shown uninhabitable living situations.

I have seen men an women as couples or individual entering and exiting behind this torn gate for this property.

This is a call out to anybody that lives in the apartment building or property owned by Mendy management please call Downtown call the mayor's office and complain about this slumlord the lack of professionalism when it comes to dealing with a problem and the inability to act with a sense of urgency when it comes to a problem be dealt with by the proper authorities from the city of New Haven so if you live in a property owned by Mindy management call your mayor's office they only hear us when we speak as a group of people that's the only thing that gets their attention the inability to deal with this problem at 277 Chapel Street is astounding and no one's listening so I'm calling out to anyone who lives in the property owned by Mendy management to call and call and start complaining about how inefficient they are slumlords to say the least help!!

My neighbors has huge tree which cover my whole house, and it is lying down towards my house, I trim as much I can but it is not working, I am planning to put solar on my house and that tree is blocking my roof. I don’t see any person from that house to talk therefore I am trying to reach authority to take prompt action please.
