    This is one entrance ramp for cars to begin driving on the parkway. There is a sidewalk on both sides of this entrance ramp, but no crosswalk or any kind of pedestrian prioritization. For a pedestrian to walk on Dixwell Avenue towards the shopping centers past the high school requires that they already know enough about Hamden's countless, severely outdated and dangerous intersections, for them to choose, at the start of their trip, to instead use the other side of the road that actually does have a crosswalk, because there's no crosswalk at this parkway entrance ramp, NOR ANY WAY to cross over to the ONLY OTHER CROSSWALK that's painted at this intersection. The sidewalk on the northbound side of this road, just before the parkway entrance ramp, has a ramp at the end of it. The way this ramp is positioned forces any person who needs to avoid the step to TURN THEIR WALKING FEET LEFT AND WALK THEMSELF DIRECTLY ONTO THE ROUTE 10 PAVEMENT. Better watch out for any cars that don't check for people walking because they don't notice a sidewalk on this side of the road, especially given the lack of any other equipment necessary to allow pedestrians to be safe. Anyone angry enough to plow through the right on red will belt out that it's your fault for not using the crosswalk on the other side of Route 10 that you can't get to unless you walk yourself all the way back to Benham Street so let them drive straight in front of you for crying out loud.

    The intersection of Church Street, Garden Street and Grandview is a high traffic area. This is a 4 way intersection. It is also in a school zone. There are only stop signs that everyone seems to ignore! There have been several accidents. A great deal SPEED up and down these roads and across the intersections. This issue NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.
    Speed bumps or a rotary be placed, before I have a car on my front porch or a neighbors, again!

    This traffic light is designed to elevate the importance of a vehicle over any safety concern of a person walking on their feet through this intersection. Is anyone from Hamden willing to discuss how dangerous this intersection is?

    There is a dangerous curve in front of 1148 -50 Whitney Ave. at the intersection of Auger & Whitney that needs a traffic light and a Jersey barrier placed in front of the homes near Hamden Hall School. For the fourth time in two months, a car hit the utility pole in front of the house and also hit the house causing over $20,000 in damage. A person walking on the sidewalk could have been killed, and the people living inside this condo are at risk of great injury or death as a result of the town ignoring this problem for many years. There have been multiple reports of cars hitting the house and yet the town keeps referring to the state and the state keeps kicking the problem back to the town. We've complained at a previous traffic meeting and it was noted on the record. Please stop ignoring this obvious problem and do something to save lives. This is an emergency issue. The last time the car hit the house this week the car owners did not have insurance. We are paying thousands of dollars in repairs and residents are living in fear and anxiety. This will happen again.

    It is very difficult to cross this intersection even at the crosswalk. Sightlines are poor for pedestrians and drivers. Many people cross the road here to access the Park but there is not a good option to cross the road safely. Suggestion that the traffic signaling could be revised to hold all lights red when crossing signal is active.
