The constituent stated that the two sewers located inside the park need to be cleaned up. The foul odor emanating from the park is starting to reach his residence.

This turned-up tree grate is one of the many tripping hazards in Enos Jones. I commend the city for flattening out the pavers near the picnic area. That work was done quickly and it was long overdue.

But there are more examples of these tripping hazards across the park.

Can you please recategorize this to Zoning? I could not find a listing that would be routed to that office.

In August of 2023, we brought this issue of Canco Lofts not sharing the picnic area (tables/grills) and dog park with the public. Now its again will it be another summer of this building robbing the taxpayers of their rightful public space? The previous ticket was closed. When will these spaces get signage and be open to the public and what is being done about the residents who are picking fist fights and harassing people who try to use these spaces? I borrowed an image from another user to show what the current space looks like. Why are they allowed to have a huge hill of grass that says keep off? That is also meant to be a public space!

This issue is for Jersey City’s historic preservation staff: an integral portion of the cornice has been cut off and removed while replacing the roof membrane. See attached photos.

The pieces that were cut off have carvings of form that also exist on the cast iron door pediments and continues on the inside of the home, on soap stone fireplaces.

Removing an integral portion of the historic cornice that is visible from public right of way is a violation of historic district rules.

  • 71 Skillman Ave Jersey City NJ 07306, United States - Journal Square
This fence is a zoning violation on multiple fronts and needs to be removed. They were forced to remove the bar wire only to replace it with a homemade version. This needs to be removed as well in the interim.

12 Beacon Ave Jersey City NJ 07306, United States - The Heights
This new structure is in the back of 12 Beacon Ave and exceeds the height allowed. Residents fought to limit the height of this new construction. The new structure is taller than the existing home and construction is not done. (Picture with pink line) There were originally three garages the same height and the one circled in pink.

I reopen this complaint because it was fraudulently closed by Warren K. Curtis:

Why is Borat Kuldeep Kumar allowed to convert a residential unit into business? All Meyer and Curtis have to do, is to cross reference all the Borats' paperwork on record. That is illegal!

    1. On both sides (Collard and Spruce) illegal private fence was erected on public sidewalk. Taking few feet of public space toward curbs. Huge fraudsters.

    2. ADA violation on Collard side. Illegal fence obstructs ADA passage on public sidewalk.

    3. Listed owners are Bhupender and Rita Patel. Looks like another case of garbage behavior from India at other peoples expense.

    4. I request illegal fence be removed by DPW and cost billed to Patels. That includes leveling the "Patel's part" of sidewalk to be flush with remaining public sidewalk.

    5. I request Patels be order to provide licensed property lines survey to ensure they do have a chance to pull their Indian stunt upon us again.

  • 535 Newark Ave Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - Journal Square

Basement hatch on public sidewalk is collapsing. Tripping hazard.

I remind, that once this structure is demolished, no new hatch can be permitted. There is no such a thing as grandfathering hatch when new structure is erected.

  • 524 Tonnele Ave Jersey City, New Jersey, 07307 - The Heights

    1. There is no permit major reconstruction going on converting car mechanic garage into dispensary. Two illegal driveways were liquidated, and two new erected in different spots. Both new ones are illegal, since they enter US highway 1-9 intersection (including into jug handle ramp leading to County Road. Such an arrangement requires special permit from NJ DOT which manages this intersection on behalf of US DOT.

Raymond Meyer has no authority to issue permit for these new driveways to begin with.

I request Fulop fire Meyer and no Certificate of Occupancy be issued for illegal and DANGEROUS new driveways.
