Hi, there is some old musty rotting type insulation partially around this pipe, possibly asbestos. Can this be removed, please?

This is the foot bridge on Waldo Avenue between Alan Terrand Elizabeth St.

Open pipe draining into the ground. Standing water liquids draining into the sidewalk

This entire stretch of roadway is missing the lines that indicate it is a two lane road, and that the curvature in the road is also two lanes. The street just reopened and there has already been a near miss with my car because someone did not realize that the turn has two lanes and therefore they cannot take up the entire space of the roadway.

This request was closed prior to construction with a comment saying the road would be repaved and lines redrawn before opening Road is open and lines were not redrawn.

Subject: Urgent Resolution Needed for 6-Month Disruptions on Lexington Ave (West Side to JFK Blvd)

For six months, Lexington Avenue (West Side to JFK Blvd) has endured water main breaks, outages, no street sweeping, and now late-night construction noise severely impacting residents’ quality of life.

I demand:

1. Confirmation of accountability.
2. A firm timeline for full completion and service restoration.
3. Immediate street sweeping.
JCMU claims equipment blocks sweepers, but this jeopardizes public health and safety.

The City must act.

I’ve already filed a complaint with no response. Please resolve this proactively, no further complaints from me.

Pipe insulation is decayed, falling apart and growing mold. The fiberglass insulation isn't doing it's job anymore and I question if the pipe is even in use anymore (looks like a newer gass pipe is overhea). It just looks terrible and contributes to the trashy junkyard esthetic of the footbridge, which needs a paint job too. All of the property adjacent to the footbridge and the surrounding area is valued upwards of a million dollars Tax payers in this area should be able to use a footbridge that isn't covered with moldy fiberglass, lawn debri, and dirt

Can the city remove this unsightly and potentially hazardous material from the Waldo street footbridge?

Can the neighbors remove it? s. r.

Last summer, one of the trees on Bright St was destroyed by a company doing road work and these barriers were added around the remaining trees on Bright between Monmouth and Varick. The barriers are still up a year later. Can they be removed now and the tree plots maintained?

Also, one of the tree plots in front of Crepe Guru is still empty after the tree was knocked over and removed. I was told that the company would pay for a replacement tree to plant. Is there any progress on when we can expect one?

At 70 Lake Street there is a very bad smell from the sidewalk, sewage coming from the curb on to the street. This has been going on for over a week. Please investigate.

Following up on this task as it was closed out 3 months ago. The city advised that they had to wait 90 days for the asphalt to cure in order to reinstall bollards. Well, it’s been past 90 days :)

Water company replaced lead pipes, they laid tar/asphalt and is now crumbling and a hazard.

Kickplate is obstructing sidewalk and the street on Liberty Ave for weeks could be a hazard for pedestrians and vehicles.

In front of 209 Zabriskie Street, there is a Tree that has a wooden square box that is surrounding it and cars have ran into it and it is damaged/broken. Please investigate.
