Parks, Playground, and Dog Runs PLUS

Can we have this sign Removed please. Some Scrooge decided to throw out all the toys in the park. For years, toys that outgrew children or were no longer in use were brought to this park allowing children to play. It was a nice community of sharing. Seems like a common theme with everything now in this city….some miserable out of state transplant decides to complain. This city needs less signs and more chill people. Thanks.

Neglected area of Dr. Lena which could have so much more potential.

Situated between the splash park and the basketball courts, I am not even sure what the intended purpose for this lot is as it is not used for parking nor recreation, with only bleachers taking up a small portion of the space.

this could be used in so many other ways, either for recreation, more landscaping, or just greenspace for the growing community to enjoy.

is there any way the city can consider repurposing space? in its current form there’s just glass and litter everywhere in the absence of any real purpose

Playground and sprinkler has been out of commission since September 2023 . This request was suppose to be “petitioned for revision in the spring “ as per Vernon from parks department. It’s the spring. almost summer. Still

The lights in Newport Park (next the the Newport dog run that's next to the Duane Reade) don't come on at night It's very dark
I selected Hamilton Park, but the issue isn't there It's at Newport Park at the intersection of River Drive South and Newport Parkway The sign on the fence says it's part of Jersey City

Park playground is in dangerous need of repair. Black top of playground peeling hand holes in multiple places, weeds overgrown into the playground space, broken drain, broken splash pad, broken tiles on grounds, broken latch for the playground entrance. This playground is a severe injury/accident waiting to happen. Appears the playground has been neglected of maintenance or daily even weekly care. Who is responsible for this? Would love to know so I can escalate this if needed.

We need Pershing field playground to be majorly cleaned up, then signs (there currently aren't any- but we know for a fact water balloons are not allowed) and a rule stating no water balloons allowed. Enforcement for a week or so at dedicated times to enforce this.

And please bring back weekend maintenance of the parks, they're in unsanitary condition.
