The boardwalk in front of Crystal Point is slowly but surely buckling. It has been reported before and has been acknowledged but nothing is being done. Some bricks got dislodged but someone replaced the hole with new bricks. It's becoming a hazard and needs to be repaired.

The sidewalk in front of 60 Franklin St. has a pretty serious and ex extreme dip in it making it very difficult for anyone with a wheelchair or stroller to pass. My understanding it is the responsibility of the building to maintain this.

Street level Public right-of-way Belgian block sidewalk is severely damaged, poorly constructed, large portions of the stones have sunk down and forms large puddles after the any precipitation - it takes over a week to evaporate. You have to hop and maneuver carefully to avoid muddy portions. The walkway should be power washed to remove construction debris and silt that has accumulated over the past ten years since it was reconstructed as part of required Historic Rehabilitation. The stone should be relaid and supported properly to maintain a level surface to walk on. The ADA ramp to the elevated ROW sidewalk is along this stretch of First Street. Current conditions as they are now make it very difficult to push any wheeled stroller, dolly or wheelchair to gain access to the elevated portion of sidewalk surrounding this building. The entrance to the office, artist studios and Nyack University student dormitories are accessed on First street side of the building where this walkway is located. This walkway, ADA ramps (as well as the staircases up), and elevated sidewalk are not private property it should be properly maintained by 150 Bay Street property owners. In addition to the pedestrian traffic to the dorms, commercial offices and studios space, there are four floors of rental apartments as well as active retail spaces surrounding the entire building. This needs to be repaired and rebuilt ASAP.

Contractor replacing siding makes pedestrians walk in middle of street without providing safe path.

The entire wall is going to collapse and it’s holding up an old cemetery from the 1800s. There are graves right behind this and will fall out into the sidewalk and street. I’m adding more pics in the comments.

The sidewalk is badly broken and uneven, the area is very badly lit at night. The sidewalk appears to be lifter by a tree stump that is there, causing it to be very unsafe and causing my friend to fall and injure himself, requiring stitches to his eye area. This occupies at 6:45 pm on Tuesday evening, Nov. 19th.

    To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to report a serious hazard on the sidewalk outside 409 Ogden Avenue. The stretch of sidewalk between 409 and 411 has been severely buckled by a tree root, creating a dangerous vertical misalignment.

This morning, April 30, 2025, I tripped on the uneven pavement and was thrown several feet. As a result, I sustained multiple injuries, including deep scrapes on both palms, a bleeding and swollen knee, a gash on my ankle, and trauma to my elbow. In addition, my watch was damaged beyond repair during the fall.

Immediate action should be taken to address this issue before further injuries occur. I urge the responsible department to inspect the site and make necessary repairs as soon as possible to ensure pedestrian safety.

    Sincerely,
    Jordan Motisi
