the sidewalk on the east side of Marin (past the mall parking garage and toward the Holland Tunnel) is very damaged and uneven. this is the main way parents take their kids between Newport and Hamilton Park and it's super dangerous. if you trip, you could easily fall into the lane of traffic that is racing back into the Holland Tunnel.

According to this complaint, The sidewalk in front of this property has lifted up and has created a Tripping Hazard."
  • 327-357 9th St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

This sidewalk defect remains a tripping hazard.

Resident's sump pump leaks water along the crack to the tree, which shades the area. The defect is less visible due to the shade. The area is also very soggy, with water pooling, with fallen leaves and what not making a tripping and a slipping hazard.

In the short term, can you apply some bright paint to indicate the hazard?

Resident is either oblivious or irresponsible or both. Code enforcement, this is your chance.

While you're in the area, check out the hospital's sidewalk. Old brickwork and rebar pulling up left and right, clogged drains and pooling at driveways due to poor drainage.

    Thank you.

In front of Tony Boloneys on Grove Street there is a section of jagged pavement that is a tripping hazard. There is no sign on the sidewalk indicating this danger. I witnessed a pedestrian trip and fall a few days ago.
